In reference to the observation that Americans tend to be unknowledgeable of other countries, we were visiting The U.S., and my father took me into a barbershop for haircuts. When it came time to pay, my dad was flipping through his Canadian bills, looking for some greenbacks. The barber asked him what the funny looking bills were. My dad told him. Everyone in the shop gathered round to gawk at the money. It didn't seem to be just that they hadn't seen Canadian money before, that's understandable. It was that they were astonished that there WAS Canadian money. Now this was 60 years ago, and not in a cosmopolitan area, but still.

It is a strange concept, because there are Arab Jews, there are Iranian Jews, there are Palestinian Jews who were there before Israel. This could be a long conversation. But, the answer would be very complex.... the two main branches of Judaism, which populate North America are Sephardic and Ashkenazi. Which really just means Spanish Jews and eastern European/Russian Jews. For a long time Jews did not have a Homeland, they just had their traditions, and only married with one another. Over time this created an ethnic identity of common physical traits.

To be fair though, outside the USA, Russia & Saudi Arabia there are almost zero Trump supporters. It's not a divisive opinion to be anti Trump in the UK or the rest of Europe the way it is in the states.

and you think Brits are much better at producing a glowing economy and equally banging school system, via self-rule (democracy)? UK is in way more trouble than USA, yet they look down their noses smugly at Americans. The reality is: bogans exist everyplace, and the median immigrant is even more boganed-up than the lowest classes of Anglo-American-Celtic descendants.
