Come to Pattaya and these 5 things will almost certainly happen!

Coming to Pattaya is a great idea. Fun, laughter and lots of amazing times. However, there are a few things you should be aware off before you board that big white bird and head over to Pattaya in Thailand.
This is one of the few places in the world that you have to see it to believe it and Pattaya is top of that list. Pattaya can bring all kinds of situations to you and ones that in all honesty you may never have encountered before!
Pattaya is amazing but likewise, it is also a challenge and in this video I explain why!

Great video Trev. Thailand is my choice of holiday destination, I don’t have to ask anybody’s permission to go. What I do when I get there is my choice alone, and don’t have to explain my actions to anyone. I like to think I work hard all year round, which enables me to enjoy my holidays however I choose. I can safely say I have touched in some way on every point you made in the video, and many more you haven’t. And will continue to do so as long as I am able to do so. Can’t wait to get back again soon, until then keep up the good work in informing me of what I am missing. See you in the buzzin bar 🍺🍺🍺

I find a lot of raised eyebrows and negative comments come from people who've never actually been there. I spent the best part of a year when I was in my mid 20's - so about 20 years ago now! Backpacking around Thailand and Malaysia. As a group of Scottish females, I can honestly say we had never travelled to a place where we felt safer than Thailand, and the people were among the friendliest and most helpful I've ever met. I met and spoke to a LOT of working ladies (and men). At the end of the day they have a job to do and money to make...doesn't make them bad people. Best to get out there and experience this amazing country for yourself...before you judge so harshly. I remember how amazed I was at how beautiful some of the girls were...and lovely natured too. Even as a group of women we were always made to feel welcome. I'd never seen such exotic looking women! 🙂 so many of them looked absolutely flawless. So long as you're respectful, you will get respect back. Please don't go out there and be knob, because it won't end well for you 👍

I have family who judge me for living in Pattaya, but all my life, I have never cared how others think about me. However those who know me, say I deserve my good life, after 45 years of extra hard work and stresses in my home country.. I'm 71 , very healthy, substantial funds. I intend to make the most of my future.. I'm not desperate or naive, so do not need a Thai wife... I like variety...

As far as being judged is concerned, I think it depends on the individual, and cultural expectations where they live. One of the richest men in Norway visited Pattaya a few times without ever having that kind of problem. He finally ended up marrying a waitress from a restaurant/bar in Pattaya, choosing well. The girl is a treasure, loved by his family as well as himself. She manages part of his business in Norway, and takes the time to cook Thai food for everyone quite often. She never asks for anything, but is grateful for anything given to her. She feels lucky (and she is) but so is her husband.

An amazing Vlog T, *So True* what you said about the issues people face upon their decision to come to Thailand on your holiday, especially Pattaya. I have come across those problems myself, so no mate of a mate stories. The people talking about you thing, is a *Fact* and if people think that their mates don't talk about them behind their back about their choice to come to Thailand are dreaming or delusional, from what I have noticed personally is that the worst of the lot are your friends who married a local girl at an early age and never lived their life before they settled down so became a sad old man way too early, FFS I was still a teenager when I started to visit the world as a single man and the story about the mates telling their wives about your holiday is so true, and is a conversation I have had with many mates over the years that also travel to Pattaya for their holidays, so they understand it as well. My thoughts are the blokes that tell their wife about your holiday, wish they were you and talk about you to reassure their fat lumpy wife that they are the only woman for them LOL. So I stopped telling my mates about my trips, or even if I was going on a trip to LOS.

So true, great advice once again. For in touch, sensitive, deep loving man. All about coming to terms with wanting to be wanted. Psychology wise it is the main thing here. You are absolutely correct on all five points. The first couple times I was there, was when I was in the Navy in the early 80's. I told people the stories about the PI, and Thailand and they just don't believe you. I returned for the first time in 1996 and I was completely judged. So, after that I just found it easier to not say anything about my plans or what I did. I return about every three years and am seriously thinking about retiring there.

You give the best advise I have seen. I have done many trips to Thailand, and its a different mind set than the stay at homes can never comprehend. It's not all about sex , its more about chatting to some guy you got drunk with, wither be Russians , or English , Italian, Nordic, Korean. American , or another bent Australian who lives 10km up the road. Its all about making another significant memory , which drives the next trip plan

Your observations about Thai ladies loving to sleep stereotype the coastal bar affiliated types - understandably since they work late hours. Having lived in Muang Phon and Buri Ram for many years I can assure you that few, beautiful ladies included, will be found slumbering after sunrise. Evening time sees preparation for food alms to Monks who wander early. Many ladies spend evening hours preparing for selling whatever at the market. By 4AM markets are buzzing with vendors, and by sunrise vast throngs populate the market visiting and picking up essentials for the day. Maybe the small handful of “Karaoke girls” sleep after sunrise but everyone else is on full go. To me this is the heartbeat of Thailand.

I’ve just subscribed to this channel because of this awesome video. I’ve been coming to Pattaya over the last 26 years so I see myself as a seasoned Pattaya visitor. This video is bang on the mark, everything you’ve said is exactly what I’ve experienced. Judgment? I just say go and see for yourself you will understand why I go. The people are really that lovely, girls, men, ladyboys, ive you will have fun with everyone. Falling in love? All I can say is try to understand the culture, the reason there are so many girls working there doing what they do. The way I see it is they are all very family oriented, they need to earn money to send back to there families. Try to understand that and think you’re not gods gift but you are a source of income in the nicest possible way. Treat them well and you’ll get so much more in return. You’re right leaving Pattaya is so sad. I did the same I had to rebook to come back.

Pattaya should be a pilgrimage for all young guys to visit at least one time in their life. It is absolutely a trip of a lifetime. One minute, you see the most prettiest girl you ever see walk by, ten minutes later you see another that blows her away. So store up your lead and choose wisely.

Been going to Thailand for 20 years and still love it. In regards to the bar girls I believe a lot are using the bar as a way to meet a guy and find a better life but it is no easy task for them or the guys as you need to get past the holiday attitude. I know quite a few guys who have met their wife's in bars and I'm not so sure it's that different to dealing with dating outside Thailand. Thai women are incredibly tough yet still feminine and will do what they need to improve their lives for themselves and their families enduring challenges that alot of non thia women could not.

I love your attitude and sound advice, and the back to reality segment, I live in Indonesia for 15 years now and its interesting to make comparisons of 2 slightly different cultures. many similarities, originally I wanted to move to Bangkok felt somewhat attached to a Bar gril, everything went fine for a few months, mostly just met out, walk around the city spent time together it was great fun, but did not make anything deeper about it. I then went to Indonesia, and I felt that was a better place for me to be, feeling that relationships with girls looked more like the one at home ( Im french by the way) but still with that asian touch. When I go home I keep my experiences to myself realising nothing good can come out of it. Good job on your videos, keep up the positive vibes, they are a pleasure to watch. Philippe.

I was a solo dad with 3 boys, bring a lady home, she would meet my boys and then run like hell, Kids got older, I badly injured my back, the women wanted to go dancing etc, it was a no no so they ran away, Then I discovered Thailand, which basically saved my life, it became fun again. For the last 10 yrs, I get mates and their wives trying to set me up with a partner. My answer is, where were they when I needed them? nowhere. I am now approaching 70yrs, fit as, except I am partly deaf, I struggle to hear female voices, but Thai females are no problem, As I say to my mates when they give me a hard time being single, when a kiwi woman looks like a dragon, smells like a dragon, sounds like a dragon, what do you call her , a dragon bitch, rather go without.

Kiwi dragon all of the time more like it. Not much success in NZ fled to Australia, eventually went to Thailand 🇹🇭.Best decision of my life as it also saved my life of going nowhere but working 9 to 5 for nothing, I just wish I’d done it earlier, but hoping in 10 years to semi retire there, much better outlook with the weather and friendly Thai people, rather than the cold kiwi winters and the fire breathing dragons.

Regarding getting judged in your home country for going to Thailand as a single guy.. All the women that you know will think your a pervert, and all the married men you know will be jealous that they can't go there. So I made up a story for my friends and workmates. That was,I had a serious girlfriend who worked in a bank that I wanted to marry , and had trouble getting a visa for her to come to AUS, so I went over every 6 months to visit her, as that was the only time I could get to see her. Everyone thought that it was a very cute love story. In reality, every time I went to Thailand on holiday, I was bar fining 2 different girls a day. 😀

As a Westerner, I lived in the Caribbean for several years and I can attest to the point about, "being a liar". As a Westerner, living in a country that doesn't necessarily share your values, you are going to do, see and experience stuff that just doesn't happen in the West. At last on a regular basis. I STILL have friends that don't believe some of the things I experienced. I only WISH I had that vivid of an imagination! LOL! Like the guy says...you're better off keeping it to yourself. Way back in ancient times in 2014, when I was still a jar head in the USMC, we had a training exercise with the Thai military called Cobra Gold. Great time, got to train with the Thai special forces and learned a lot about jungle survival and fighting. So after a month we get 3 days of Liberty and lo and behold, we get 3 days of liberty in Pattaya! (Somebody in our chain of command didn't do their research). Well I can say with no degree of uncertainty that this was, and will forever be, the most insane 3 days (or should I say nights) of my life. I had NO idea what I was getting myself into. on the first night however, something happened to me that taught me a valuable lesson in warfare. It was me and 2 of my friends at a bar when, these absolutely beautiful women walk by. The one looks at me and smiles and they go and sit at the bar. After some egging on from my friends I go over and talk to her. Turns out she had 2 friends as well! How convenient! So they all come sit with us and have some drinks. We are such ladies men we have them laughing to tears! She asks me what I do for a living, I tell her I'm a helicopter pilot (Telling her I'm military personnel on orders is a violation of OPSEC!). She is really impressed and asks me if I would take her for a ride some time. I tell her unfortunately I left my helicopter at home. She says "I wasn't talking about helicopters.". By this time we had been drinking for a while and it was probably 3 A.M. My friend gets up and beckons for me to follow him. I do, and he informs me that the girl is asking to go home with him. "nice" I say. Only one problem, she wants paid... "Damn" well your going to have to make that decision on your own... That really sucks to be you. So we get back and I ask the girl I was setting next to if she wants to go home with me. She leans over and whispers in my ear... Oh shit... This whole thing was a set up? Did... Did I just get seduced? Me, an operator who, at great expense to the taxpayers, was trained in Resistance to interrogation, SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape), and much more, just got tricked by some 20 year old girl in a bar?? The rest is history, but I learned a great deal from Pattaya, one lesson is just how smart these women are and what master manipulators they can be. If you go to Pattaya thinking you can weather the storm of beautiful girls without catching any feelings, I was literally trained to resist these things and yet on first contact, I failed miserably. Be very careful out there boys... I'm beginning to think that she didn't even believe I was a helicopter pilot...

So good to get up to date advice - I first went to Pattaya in 2005 and was not at all prepared. The advice you could find was like something out of a Victorian Travel Guide to "exotic" places. I have been back at least once a year since (other than the Covid years). My favourite was that all Thai People are very reserved and seek to avoid confrontation - Imagine my shock I saw two Thai women in a full on fight in a bar

On the judgement point - I have just told people I went to Thailand, not a lie per se but no reason to tell people you walked home at 5 in the morning from somewhere you would never find again (you probably wouldn't tell people about your walk of shame from Shoreditch)

Fall in love everyday 🤣 very hard work indeed. You are right, gotta split the feeling down and understand if it's lust or true love.

Lived in Pattaya for six years now. Not concerned about judgment. At age 72 I am not going to live my life as some blue-nose would like me to live. I have stayed away from ladies in the bar business, but my experience has been that many women in ordinary jobs are just as untrustworthy as bar girls. Money is the main thing here and without it you will stay alone 100 percent of the time. You will pay for EVERYTHING you get. No exceptions.

@@Buzzinpattaya I first came here in 1998, when I was in my late forties. I made at least one trip a year, up until my retirement in 2015. I think there's good reason to move on to the Philippines since Thailand seems to want wealthy retirees or none at all. Living here HAS added life to my "golden years". I will wait around to see what happens. Immigration may possibly wake up and revise their policies. I am glad there are other options.
