I just had a great sourcing trip too! Gorgeous Staud dress, 3 adorable Kate Spade summer dresses, lululemon wide leg aligns, Brooks Brothers cable knit cashmere sweater. And best of all, everything looks brand new! I’m not suppose to be buying more inventory but I couldn’t resist. Great to see you!!

Good info thanks. I love sourcing videos. Better would be to show price tag for all items and what you expect to get on Posh. $1000 more per month is stupid crazy. Cos banks don't have enough profit already! I'm in Ottawa and just can't pay the VV prices.

Hey girl, I don’t talk profit margins in thrift videos bc it truly depends on so many things. Items I get top dollar for some ppl can’t sell for $15. I would encourage everyone to do their own comp searching, I aim to make $20 min PROFIT. Hope that helps!

Hello my friend!!! I’m so glad you’re feeling lighter and ready to roll! I completely get it; you know from the reading you did I was carrying so much and after we did that, omg. Life changing adjustment! It feels great when you let the light back in! As for the economy, rates are creeping back up, but people are shopping. I feel summer slow down, but I’m still making daily sales. I’m just being strategic with sourcing and I’m done buying for summer. I’m all focused on fall right now. Our interest rates in the States on mortgages are fixed in the states generally. Depends on what you get when you buy, but most interest rates are fixed for with 15 yr or 30 yr mortgages. You usually get a lower rate for 15 yr, but most people do 30 yr mortgages. When I bought in 2008 I was at 6.5% and it stayed that until 2022 when I refinanced so my mortgage was basically the same payment for 14 years. Mortgages can go up slightly if they dont hold enough for insurance and property tax, but that usually wouldnt be more than a couple hundred dollars, its usually only an issue when they revalue property about every 10 years. My mortgage has never varied more than about $30.

So we are on a variable, we were at 2% for a couple years then up over 7% the last while. I think we’re on a 25 yr but each term can be between 3-5yr I believe. Thanks for sharing g how it works there!!

So with you on summer sales. I slow down on thrifting and enjoy family time and everything Summer brings. Lots of time for business when our days get short and chilly. I do 10 to 15 min walk through a few times a week, scooping up items that are easy to spot like cashmere, linen, silk, etc. found a few Anthropologie NWT last week, and Quince Alpaca, Cashmere sweaters. Still picking up Eileen Fisher in size L and up. I’m really picky with Lululemon, unless I find for under $10 I’m leaving it. 7:55 Thanks for sharing!

I’m in the US and I’m shocked at your cost of goods. I find similar brands and pay $3-$5 each. I shop Mom and Pop thrift stores and shop on discount days. I also go to a consignment store that has amazing clothes when they have 75% off sales.
