@@JustaBug I’m primarily a HEMAist but I find eastern sword arts fascinating as well. It’s very interesting to me how similar some parts of their systems are while others are completely different.

Sorry i havent been uploading. Been busy with life, running a club and other stuff. I've started a blog which is lower effort and time on our club website at www.koreanhistoricfencing.com but even that is quite limited as I don't have a lot of time at the moment

The one time I'm sad I don't live in Australia😂 Loved your videos on Jedokgeom. Can you do similar breakdowns and interpretations of Bongukgeombeop/Singeom and Ssanggeomsul from the Muyedobotonji? The former is supposed to be based off of a sword school thousands of years old, so it might be the most "purely" korean style that's still around. The latter is mostly side stances instead of forward stances (uncommon in asian swordsmanship) and has dual-wielded sabers (even more uncommon). Don't stop making videos!

Thanks for your kind words! I focus on jedok geom as I think it's got the most robust history and martial use which I explain in my book. I've done a bit of bongkukgeom but it doesn't have a martial base (came from a sword dancer) and how it ended up in muyedobotongji is quite dubious and I don't know if it's the real form recorded in there. Ssanggeom uses two swords and I've done a bit but in sparring it's very messy and hard to have a good idea of what's good form and what's not. I still do like messing around with it in sparring though I've taken a break from videos due to life circumstance but I will be back! Thanks for watching my vids and hopefully one day if you visit Australia you come and visit our club
