You girls hold onto your daddy and cherish every single moment, I miss my dad so much things can happen in a blink of of an eye! You two are so lucky I would give anything to give my dad one more hug or just to hang out together. Matt seems like a very good daddy so enjoy every moment!❤

Its sad that a lot of kids never get to see this kind of beauty. When I was 9 yrs old my momma and I went to Dayton Ohio to pick up my two little cousins to spend the summer with us. They were raised in an apartment in the middle of town. On the way home to Tennessee we passed a cow field and my cousins didnt even know what they were. They had never even seen a big tree before. We lived on a farm so they got to experience all kinds on new things that first summer.

They fish too and I know my grandson will like the sound of Nic's truck. He's 18 and just got a 65 mustang, it needs a lot of work, but he doesn't mind. Thank you for sharing you family time with us. It's not always about catching the fish but the time together. My family come back from fishing plenty with no fish. I am happy you caught a fish though Kori. It does made it exciting. When I was a kid loved to go outside at night to catch nightcrawlers. Especially after a rain, or before dark watered down lawn with a hose. Ever so slowly, carefully walked around super, super quiet. Most of those big nightcrawlers would be halfway out of their holes. Holding a flashlight in one hand, used other hand to quickly grab 'em before they disappeared back into their holes. Such fun catching worms to catch the fish.

That is such a pretty area and that stream is awesome. It seems very relaxing to fish there. My brother and I go fishing often but don’t always catch fish. We cherish our time together and love nature. I am like Katie and I like carp fishing at our local reservoir. My biggest carp has been a 36 pound grass carp. I have caught several carp in the last few years and my smallest was a 17 pound. I make my own bait. I mix a can of corn, a box of strawberry jello and a box of bread crumbs together.

I grew up on streams like the one you all were fishing in. My Dad was fly fisherman in the streams in northern Mich. We camped out in the middle of the woods along a creek or a river, slept in an old tent that smelled like a tarp ( under the stars) & ate all our meals either on a Coleman stove or an open fire. I had 3 siblings & we just had a ball. Mom taught us to recognize berries & Mushrooms & we were never afraid to be out in the woods. What a super great way to raise kids & teach them about life in general. We all grew up with the love of the woods & fields & being out in Nature. I'm glad to see you girls & your family enjoying your lives in the beautiful Applachians. I've been upthere before & it is one beautiful place.
