Hej TacNGear, what do you say about the combo Defence 1 inside of the Defence 4? The zippers will end up in the same place I am aware but other than that? Is the Defence 1 more waterproof than the tropen and thus cause problems with dewpoint/moisture? All the best

Hi For a three to seven day camping in a mountainous region, would you recommend a Tropen+ Bivy Bag, Tropen + Defence 4 or Tropen+ Defence 4+ Bivy Bag?

I dont need the Tropen , i just use a woolen blanket in addition . Woolen blanket of US Army . Keeps me warm at winter 🙂

I managed to stuff both defence 4 and tropen in the defence 4 compression sack. But how to carry that big bundle on my backpack? I have an osprey kernel 68 but the lower outside straps are to short to attach the Carinthia bundle outside.

Extra straps come in handy.

Hello! I want to buy Defense 4 and combine it with Tropen. Do I need to take the bigger size Defense 4 (Tropen size M + Defense 4 size L) or should they be the same size (Tropen size M + Defense 4 size M)?

They should probably fit with both being the same size.

Some say the Tropen bag should go on the outside of Defence, but this seems better. Any comments on this?

Well, I would ask that “some” if you would put your thickest jacket closest to your body and then the sweater on the outside? 🤔 I would believe Carintha knows their stuff 😃👍

Hi! I asked customer service at Carinthia today, and they recommend that the warmest sleeping bag should be closest to the body and that this applies to all sleeping bag combinations. Defence on the inside and Tropen on the outside. It makes sense.

​@@larsjrgensen6753 Hi Lars, just for everyone's information I also contacted them around 2 weeks ago and they told me the exact opposite, Defence 4 on the outside and Tropen on the inside close to the body 😅 So exactly like in the video 😉 Just for information, each his opinion of course ☺️

I'll try with the Tropen on the inside next time.🙂 I just want the right answer to the question, and my previous comment was not my personal opinion, only a reference to the answer from a nice employee at customer service: "The warmest sleeping bag closest to the body". What do you think is the reason they do exactly that on their TSS sleeping bag combination, but not the Defence/Tropen combination? ;)

Is there a waterproof shell for the Corinthia Defense 4?

there is a corinthia bivy bag, but i also have a snugpak special forces bivy that works
