Great perspective of a Tank Assault and the acoustics when you are within close distance. Usually people only see what Tank assault looks like from a drone so you dont hear shot only thing is you dont feel shockwave in your belly.

In this recording we could see many objects discarded incorrectly, especially brightly colored supermarket bags. This carelessness ends up handing over positions to enemy observation drones.

All this modern technology, and we are still digging into the ground for protection. Goes to show, not a lot changes even when a lot changes.

Thanks for showing real-life trenches. It’s one thing reading about them, even in military training manuals - and then seeing them fills in a lot of holes.

If the character is “new”, and your prospective audience isn’t yet aware of their history/legend/backstory, you might want to indicate such if they’re not being serious, e.g. “I could hear - or more properly, sense - an aspect of attempted humor in their speech, as if they’d seen the grim uncertainty of prolonged starvation and abuse and were trying to stay somewhat sane.” While I haven’t endured the military - flunked the entrance physical - I have endured enough “bad stuff” that two separate people have compared matters to being in a concentration camp.

I'm guessing they (the sniper) press/manufacture their own rounds, hence asking for the .338 brass in the beginning? I just think that's interesting, as we (the USA) are looking into SOF adopting an .338 MG "officially"(SF tested SIG MG338 in ~2019 and it was apparently a big hit as the official competition to replace M240 possibly M2 for dismounted Inf, sounds like a go!) and it may be beyond just SOF units... They likely would have done it for the whole Army by now, if not for the .338 ammunition and its readiness levels. Which is why I think they're going to start with SOF only, then by the time they get a good manufacturing base for its ammo then they'll make the switch for "Big Army". Especially with already having to make the switch to XM7 and XM250's 6.8mm ammunition production...

Wagner has been a thing since 2014. Russia took Bakhmout in spring of 2023, so if I had to make my best guess, I'd say this footage is from sometime towards the end of 2022 or early 2023.
