honestly seeing radios with proper antennas being used is a refreshing sight because that tells me that someone realized the tiny rubber duck antennas are garbage
@FedericoLucchi
7 күн бұрын
The "garbage" antennas work for high frequencies. The higher the frequency, the shorter the antenna (there is no point having an antenna longer than the radio wave length). Analog portable radios are generally low frequency as it has better penetration through foliage and obstacles, digital radios generally work in the higher spectrum since higher frequencies allow for more data/sec.

You can see why this war hit such a massive standstill along much of the front. Two raised positions in visible range but out of effective range, with very little cover between them. Tanks can’t advance because of easily accessible anti-tank missiles for infantry and long sightlines, while infantry can’t advance because it’s too open without armoured support. Whoever runs out of tanks or anti-tank missiles first loses

Best ive gathered, it has to do with the gun being a long recoil operation, because the mechanism is locked breech but operating directly on the recoil the differences in powder charge from cartridge to cartridge can make a small, but noticeable difference in cyclic rate. the same effect theoretically applies with all guns but piston operation and the dramatically reduced pressures involved make the difference imperceptible

interesting old tactic with machine guns, if you have an arty boi with you. That hmg can shoot into the trenches. Not at but into, because with the right range and angle you can arc the rounds into the enemy trenchs/positions. lose a lot of power, but can and injure and kill. And if done right, can be an excellent terror weapon. Since now a perceived safety is lost, forcing manpower for extra reinforcement or forcing reposition into better fortified locations. But requires someone with good ballistic knowledge, accurate terrain and distance information, and also you really need to know what you are shooting.

Also saying the US lost Vietnam is a stretch considering Vietnam asked for a peace treaty due to the two weeks straight of bombing campaigns, you do realize once you win a war you leave right? There was no use in staying.
I love Russia and I also love Ukraine, I hope Russia and your country can find a way to end the war, so that no more soldiers die in defense of their beloved country. I'm from malaysia

@@SanctusPaulus1962 he is a mercenary for a government that banned the Ukraine march presidential election. Did you not see the landslide in Putin's election? So what would be so bad living safely at home and not dying for Victoria Nuland Biden or zelensky when Trump is coming back anyway? With 1000 casualties a day you think Ukraine would give a shit about one more dead westerner? You see the full cemeteries in Ukraine? Why do you think the average age of a ukrop soldier is 45 when in 2022 it was 30? Too much winning with those game changer leopards and Abraham's?
