Great Zoo & Great video!

Columbus Zoo is not just a Zoo but also engages in conservation efforts, too!

Great video! My wife and I were here last summer during the cicada time. The constant noise and dodging of flying cicadas really made that trip memorable.

All of you need to see our Zoo at Christmas time, too! We have Wild Lights with millions of lights & animations. There are Easter time events ( Eggs Paws & Claws; Halloween Trick or Treat; & happenings all Summer! A Zoo for all Seasons.

I love how big the exhibits are they have a lot of space to live in

I learned that the best time of the year to visit the Columbus zoo and see all the animals at play is believe it or not is In The fall time close in October. The temperature is cool so you will need a jacket or coat, but that cool temperature brings all the animals out and makes them very playful. I guess because there not hot and trying to hide and stay cool. I actually stumbled on this one year when me and my wife was traveling through Columbus on the way back from visiting some relatives in October and said let's do a surprise visit to the zoo. WOW I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW ACTIVE AND ALERT ALL THE ANIMALS WAS, they was ALL OUT AND PLAYING. But I will warn you this time of year there was no food and barley any drink stands open, so you will want to take food and drink with you. BUT IT IS SO WORTH IT, pluss you your self do not burn up from the hot sun temperature that time of year. THE ZOO ROCKS IN OCTOBER.

Few facts about the zoo It's 580 acres. One of the biggest Zoos in Ohio! They did first open all the way back in 1927! The Zoo also holds alot of special events, one of the them is the Key Club fall Rally

This was a humongous zoo...wow!!! It was awesome to see all the things they offered. Can't wait to see more!

It was a lot bigger than we expected!

My love for every TV show involving this group of great people-including the Wild crew is only partially 2nd in one area to home Zoo in NY-Its tops&how they touch&interact with those they care for is just great&great video👍

I’m going to the Columbus zoo with my mom and grandma tomorrow I’m really excited I grew up going to that zoo I love it there I’m glad u and ur family had fun!

Great vlog and tour. Traver you did an awesome job. I would definitely go to that zoo. Love Jack Hanna. Always watched his shows Saturday mornings. I need to go. The enclosures are so big and yes the indoors are greatly themed.

My hometown zoo! Ive never been to another zoo that comes anywhere close to being as good

And those flying foxes look so bad ass that is one animal I do not wanna run into in the wild😂 those are so amazing I need to go to this zoo for sure

It is! And the one we are going to on Friday is supposed to be better then Columbus Zoo. We are excited.

Oh my it was a good zoo

I’ve been to the Columbus zoo many, many times. The Lynx is the hardest animal in the zoo to see. It hides very well in that habitat. The black bears are actually quite skittish and also difficult to spot, so your experience wasn’t unusual.

I feel like the pallas cat is so rare to see

Looks like a fantastic zoo. I really like the large exhibits. The lion feeding looks so cool too. I was just at the Safari Park Wednesday and they have 3 new lionesses as of a few days ago.

I went to the zoo to yesterday as a field trip at my school

BTW- I live in Omaha. I have had an annual pass to Omaha's Zoo for decades. I visited the Columbus Zoo in 2022. I rate Columbus ahead of Omaha. I prefer the "old timey" natural settings of Columbus. I admit- I may have a bias based on Omaha burnout. Henry Doorly (Omaha) has very much a museum feel and is very sanitized. I much prefer what Omaha was before they started modernizing the zoo approx. 25 years ago.

My hometown take my kids often

I went to this zoo a week ago and wow!!! My favorite is the kangaroos 😃😃

We are leaving Sunday for Columbas and going to the zoo Mon and Tues! Have a question, the electric scooters, is there room for them in all the places! I didn’t see a lot like in the aquarium! My mother in law will have to use one!

I was there

The history of the brown bears that they rescued them when they were cubs because of a fire, and they had two red pandas and their mom and daughter, and the dinosaur in the left you didn’t know what it is, it’s a dilophosaurus

You guys should go to Australia to visit Australia zoo

We lived in Australia for a year and almost went once. We did go to the Taronga Zoo. That one was great. But Australia Zoo was just a little too far for us to travel.

Very neat video! Have you watched Secrets of the Zoo on Disney+? It's a documentary series that goes behind the scenes to show how all the animals at the Columbus Zoo are cared for.

Sorry. Just can't blow this off. How could you not go to the moose exhibit? There are so few zoos that still exhibit moose (due to their inability to thrive outside of the wild). When you went, they should have had 4 moose on display. What a missed opportunity!

This is the only way I get to see the zoo. We barely get to go on outings anymore.😢😢😢😢😢 Which is sad , because all they think about is mileage and pinching every penny!😢
