As an MLS fan for a long, long time, the CONCACAF Champions League/Cup has got to be my favorite sporting event. I'm not the sports fan I once was, but watching MLS teams go up against Liga MX and play well still gives me goosebumps.

A+ to the graphics team who put Philip Quinton as the Crew's starting GK. Quinton is (A) a defender and (B) plays for RSL now, not the Crew.

Columbus has a good recent experience with Monterrey's main championship rival Tigres, Monterrey players and fans remember this. In the return match, the players from Ohio will have a hard time and the team that wins will win the CONCACAF Cup in the future.

Maybe but as an America fan I knew you guys were cooked when el Tano Ortiz took over. Tano is a good coach in regular games but when it comes to important elimination matches he always ghost's and fumbles and does poor tactical moves and subs. That semi final against chivas was lost by fidalgo getting a red card and el tano doing stupid substitutes

Because if you are, no shade I’m not trying to hate and I’m also not biased towards the Mexican league at all but, columbus playing at their best still isn’t that good. If we are being honest Columbus beat Tigres because Tigres fumble tremendously, that game should have ended at the very least 4-1 in favor of Tigres. Similar situation in this game also, Rayados had very clear opportunities throughout the game (but especially in the first half) to put this game to bed. Again, not trying to hate

QUALITY MATCH

As a crew fan, it is a bit concerning to me how reliant we are on Cucho in attack. Almost everything comes through him. Rossi hasn't lived up to his dp contract so far w the crew. He's a pace merchant with decent dribbling in tight spaces. But he almost never looks goal dangerous.

Monterrey is going to be tough at home.
