I have a gorgeous deep wine wool coat, that in the evening it almost looks black. It looks rich & luxurious. Fits like a glove. I have a winter white & black coat already. My next coat will be camel. 🤗

It's important to note that a white coat might mean off-white for some women. On those who cannot wear pure white, a white coat will look harsh and will effectively "enter the room" well before you do! Actually, I once read that everyone can wear off-white, but only half can wear pure white -- even in the summertime.

I remember having a long single breasted wool coat in charcoal that was almost better than black. It went with everything but looked less severe. As a fair skinned blonde person it was more flattering than black.

I have to agree, when you are wearing colours like beige or lighter tones, black almost looks harsh and not cohesive with the rest of the outfit

Strong colors look really good on Asians. I have so much red in my wardrobe and yet caucasians blogger rarely recommend red.

Anna, I appreciate so much what you do! I spent 14 years in the military, and it really left me fashionly challenged! After wearing a uniform for that long, five days a week, sometimes even seven days a week, that camouflage becomes your skin! It has been so hard for me to transition! So you really are now a vital part of me recovering my feel of being a lady again! Thank you for what you do! You really help many of us make our lives easier! I’m sending you a hug!

I was wondering if lounging clothes are appropriate in you house for an evening in with your other half (exemple; movie night). If so, do you have some guidelines on how to stay elegant in lounging clothes. Another thing I was wondering, do you allow yourself to be a bit more casual when your alone at home with your partner, or should you always keep up the formalities. Thank you for all the video, I’ve learned so much through all of your advices. Saving to take you course ;)

@@pt8421 I agree with the previous comment. No need to be fancy everyday with your partner unless that's what you really like. But as stated previously being casual does not mean you should wear outfits that do not fit you (too large, too tight, too long, too short, colors that don't fit you, cheap fabrics etc...). You can find good quality nice comfortable casual pyjamas or indoors outfits. Also you can be elegant by making sure your hair is well cleaned and smell good, your skin well exfoliated and moisturised, your nails are taking care of, you could wear a little bit of perfume even if you don't go out etc... I remember an ex boyfriend that used to compliment me for my smooth skin which was weird too me because I had always exfoliate and moisturised same for my hand cream; he loved the smell. That's those small details that make the difference :-)

I love navy blue coats!! I get so many compliments and it goes with everything in my closet cuz I stick to navy, burgundy, and neutrals.

I think I'm sold on the red idea. Black is the easiest colour to buy but, I feel like it kills everything. Like I put it on and it's like a candle's just gone out, like it kills the fire. The only time I look good in black, is when it's combined with white. Something about the contrast makes me 'pop'. But black on its own is a terrible colour for me 😔. I'm 6ft1 so red coat might look a little 'shouty' on me, like 185cm of RED*neon sign*. But maybe I should just 'own it', like own it when I wear it. Thanks for the video.

Yes it is, at least in the style I want it. I have found a tailor/fashion designer and we create together what I want. The coat will cost me around 700€ (estimated) without counting the cost of fabric but this is something I will keep forever. Since I'm not going to wear it for my everyday life but mostly for night occasions it should last forever. For my job I buy zara coats and it's already too much with all the dust and dirt around me.

I found a gorgeous red wool/cashmere vintage coat from the UK on ebay last month for practically nothing (I live in Canada) and I know it's going to last me forever. I have a yellow undertone to my skin so warm colors are the way to go and I ALWAYS get compliments when I wear red.

Anna it is very very true when you say Quality.Many many years ago while travelling through London my Grandmother purchased herself a stunning wool coat,she had many years wearing this coat and on her passing l was fortunate enough to have inherited it,it is now one of my most treasured pieces and is still in the most impeccable condition,🌹❤️

leeamm1 I’m almost 56 and find that a lot of what I see in stores caters for the younger generations. Trying to buy clothes can sometimes be incredibly frustrating. I am young at heart so I don’t want clothes that are going to make me look older than I am, I still pass for woman in her early 40s.

Yes, red and dark pink, camel, black are wonderful colors to choose for a coat. I have seen a shade of lilac and eggplant, royal blue for some women it goes so well with their skin tone.

Navy typically always looks nice, especially paired with a nice, crisp white or blue, tailored shirt. It’s a timeless, classy look, and can be dressed up with a great boot, or down, with a casual boating shoe, for a day at the lake.

I'm a Deep Autumn going into Deep Winter so Eathy tones,Jewel tones and Autumn tones in general work well for me.I can pull off black but my favorite coats are a rich,chocolate brown and a ruby colored one.

About 4 years ago I purchased a beautiful (lightweight wool) swing stroller, in pale pink. I wore it just once. Your video has reinvigorated my interest, so for this 2019 Fall season, I'm styling it (subtle) with a pale pink/camel Burberry cotton scarf, nude pumps and camel mohair pants... then styling it (elegant) with a black Chanel WOC, black leather gloves, LBD and stilettos. Wish I could post a pic to you. Thank you so much. xx

Ah, thanks for the tips Ana!, I wanted to add a few coats into my closet, asides from the casual Black , white and Camel color. know I now what colors to get ^^, I all ready have one coat with me so far and it's a dark navy double breasted coat, it not only looks good with any outfit but it looks well on my body! I like to design and draw in my spare time so for those who want to add color to there coats I suggest picking a color that matches your skin tone. For example people with warm skin tone chose earthly and warm colors like Camel, khaki or light brown. while people with cool skin chose colors that are icy such as navy blue or dark blue. Asides from, color you should also find a coat the suit your body type. Just cause the color may look nice doesn't mean it will look good on your body. So please make sure, you pick out a coat that fits your body type, because you going to be investing in something that your going to use for a long time.The same concept applies to clothes, find clothes that suite your body shape and type.

Thank you Ana. I have a camel and ivory coat in three quarter length. I have a long black coat and a long charcoal coat with black velvet trim. I also have a Navy blue pea coat for kicking around town to do day time errands. However, every time I shoot a selfie lately I always have something dark on. This year I bought a medium pink car coat, like the pink top you have on. I just got sick of looking so dark all the time and thought I would give the pink color a try. We will see what I can do with this. It is still too warm to wear it, but I am anxious to make it work. I had a long red coat that I loved, still trying to figure out what I did with it. I must have given it to charity, not sure why. I miss it.

As a plus size lady, black is the best coat color for me. Camel is way light, showing off things here and there. Which is also a thing to think about
