    I wonder why Chinese clothing from this Era seems to be so incredibly thick. I've seen multiple videos now with old photos or even actual video, all taken somewhere between 1860 - 1910 and they are almost always like that. Surely they couldn't all have been taken in winter. Just wondering 🤔

  • @larshofler8298

    @larshofler8298

    Жыл бұрын

    It's not always thick, it could simply be the shape of the clothing. Mandarin robe for example, the design of it just makes it look like that. Manchu Qing has some strange taste in clothing, that's for sure. I think if we look at previous dynasties, clothing look very different. But China could also be cold. Shanghai has wet, cold winters, and you might not believe me, but it FEELS very cold even when the temperature doesnt look that bad. And i guess in the past, the poor could not afford good clothing, so they would stuff cotton into their clothes, which makes the clothes look thick.

As for Mao's wrong policies, CCP has already admitted and appologised in 19080s. This is even written in our middle school history books. But, today's CCP is not the party you stupid anti-China guys think. The party is leading Chinese people to higher living standard. By the way, I grew in China, but am living in AU at present. Its interesting how when the right elements in a country come into alienment a massive burst of development can take place. In 1903 was the first recorded flight in America,by 1969 they put two men on the Moon.
