Thanks for sharing, I have had many unsuccessful Elk hunts, In the last few years I have been able to harvest some Elk do to my unsuccessful hunts. Here is my take, 1- If you go as little as one mile away from any road or well used trail odds go way up ( don't buy into the youTube cowboys telling you to go 5 or 6 miles in and up and down 1500 feet ) 2- Glassing an area that you can see the that hunters cannot see from the road has paid big dividends for us. 3- Glassing for two or three hours at a time is boring, BUT if you can push yourself to do it you will be better off. 4- This is a big one!! get there when it is dark and stay until it is pitch black, That is hardest for me, but when you kill that Elk five minutes before dark you will forget how boring it all was. Only one of us had a tag so to our understanding only that person was “hunting”, and had to wear orange. We could’ve done better. To be fair, a lot of the clips were around camp and that seemed to be where the orange lacked.

I’d be careful with that orange regulation. We know of some guys hiking out with a orange vest on but holding his orange hat in his hand. He was ticketed for that. Colorado is looking for out of state hunters to make an example of with orange regulations. Keep up the great videos!

Think about hunting the Maybell area..?

It's out of state hunters like that are fkn it all up for us resident hunters. In ability to follow regulations makes new laws none of us like. Even if not carrying a rife you should have a legal hat or vest just as a safe measure.

Its so draining to go and not get on the elk. Still an awesome time in the woods but I've been there and done that. Eaten a couple of tag sandwiches.

Where is you orange?? You are supposed to have solid orange on your upper body and head. You dont have any on in 90% of this video

Much of the video is not even during the season. The walk in and out was day before and after season. But as mentioned in previous comment, we'll do better next time.

I dont think that drinking and weed and firearms do not mix . U wanna do that just go build a camp and drink and get stoned. But when packing a fire ams where other people's lives are involved absolutely not! Good luck on your hunt . Keep your weed and booze in camp.

There wasn’t even one scene of them mixing fire arms with alcohol and cannabis. If I remember correctly it was briefly mentioned at night time when they were sitting at CAMP. But yea thanks for your opinion really appreciate it
