13 Day Backcountry Bowhunt

Ойын-сауық

On September 17th, 2020 I embarked on the largest and longest bowhunting adventure of my life, a trip that would lead to an explosion of new elk hunting knowledge and countless unforgettable experiences. I lived in a backcountry basin of Colorado public land for 11 straight days without any sight of a road, vehicle, or civilization. The pure adventure gained through this experience has sharpened my hunting skills and made me forever grateful for the opportunities I get to experience as a bowhunter.

Great movie of the day to day trials and tribulations of DIY archery elk hunting. You captured all the struggles we have all endured, September 2, 2022 is fast approaching . Try a decoy for a little better odds of fooling eyes and ears. Good luck . Aim small miss small

He shoulda used a muzzle loader, and filmed this on 35mm film. First amendment doesn't protect KZread 1080 digital video, and 2nd.amendment doesn't protect full semiauto bows.

He just said he covered about 35-40 miles in 5 days. And about 20,000 vertical feet in five days. Then he said he's hearing consistent buggling near small ponds in a meadow. He doesn't know how to hunt. He doesn't even understand that water makes grass grow, and water hydrates animals. He runs around like a chicken with his head cut off.

Nice ethical video! Glad you were picky about your shots. SO MANY social media "Bowhunters" take shots that just are ridiculous. Did you see how that bull jumped the string and lowered several inches to get his footing? Ok here's the deal, if you would have thrown out some seductive cow calls you would have had them in your lap.

Thank you for looking out for us! As it states in the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Big Game Hunting Laws under 5. F. On page 14. “Recording devices such as cameras or video recorders attached to bows may be used as long as they do not cast light toward the target or aid in range finding, sighting or shooting the bow.” No scopes or electronic bow sights are allowed, but lighted nocks on the arrows are. For others reading this, always read the current states hunting manual as laws, rules, and regulations change all the time and the way it’s stated in the 2020 big game hunting manual may change with time. Thank you!

@@BowOnlyOutdoors ... But interesting that you are not allowed to hunt with electronic sights. As the utmost important for every qualified Hunter should be a 100% sure and quick kill. As long as you hung for meat and not for the thrill of just shooting at animals to make them suffer and die as cruel as possible.
