fun fact about the alumni game- The NHL always throws a banquet for both teams after the game. Sort of a tradition. Both alumni teams turned down the offer. The bad blood still remained a decade+ later. 🤣

This was funny, a calm and collected Luca going through history with soothing music, intercepted with 90’s MTV segment “we are rad” montages.

Denver native here - it can't be understated just how important the Avalanche's 1996 Stanley Cup was; it was our city's first professional sports trophy despite Denver really being a Broncos Town. It really kick-started an amazing run of Denver sports where between 1996 and 2001, The Avalanche and Broncos both won their trophies twice. Those were great years here to be a sports fan.

Funny enough, I just saw Sakic walking out of Trader Joes in Greenwood Village a couple of weeks ago.

Landy is by far the best Team Captain in the League. Many will argue but, no one player combines Skill, Toughness, Team......better than The Viking Captain 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

@@timschlewitz3468 Joe is great, obviously. However landeskog has seen the team truly suffer and been captian longer if memory serves me correct. Still think landeskog > Sakic as far as captaincy goes... however there is an argument for Joe > Landy also 🤷‍♂️ butttttt the original post says "in the league" Joe isn't isn't active captain in the league... he's a GM. Sooo 🤷‍♂️ context my dude context

I started to be a Avalanche since 2020 during the pandemic because their was something with the logo, the jersey colors, the players and the most importantly thing is the history with the franchise and i loved it ever since and I will always be a Avalanche Fan till the day I die, WIN OR LOOSE ALWAYS BE THEIR FOR THEM, LETS GO AVALANCHE!!!!!
