Leaving this review for the Griffon Hotel here as it is managed by the Williamsburg Inn and the inn was solidly booked so we had to stay at the Griffon. Disgusting run down hotel that should be classified as a Motel. Management that doesn’t care about their guests. We paid for a $219 Griffin King Fireplace, With Pond View accommodation. We received an adjoining type room that was occupied by l noisy/drunk guests. We quickly requested to be moved, however the only option offered to us by Paula “the manager” was a downgrade or move to ANOTHER building. Given that it was late, we were going to stay in the room so Paula offered a $50 credit. However, the guests become more unruly, we did not feel safe, so we asked to move. We were moved to a room that was $199 -2 full size beds, it was a rundown room. It went from bad to worse. I asked Paula what we ended up with as a credit since we were forced to downgrade and she said NOTHING. We paid for the downgrade. There was zero compensation credit at all for the inconvenience!!!
