Amazing the amount of information from over 200 years ago. Glad GW kept journals and glad they survived the passage of time. Thanks for another wonderful video.

So fascinating. Many people are unaware of the fact that around 1921 ,a bronze statue of GW was sent to Britain. It stands in Tralfagar Square. There's also a GW statue in Paris

What a terrific job you did on this ! You could do these videos for the Williamsburg travel bureau , or to be shown in history classrooms. Have you always been fascinated with history in general, or George Washington in particular ? Do you read a lot of books on Washington ? I was wondering how you knew how many times he visited each place ? And this is a stupid question, but how far did he have to travel to come to Williamsburg from Mount Vernon ?

Thank you and so glad you enjoyed! Yes, i love history and research lots of articles, books and write ups on Washington to discover the history. For this one I also had some fun connecting dots and reading parts of his journals to bring the stories together. So much fascinating details out there about him. Would love to do docs for travel bureau & schools! The road was known as Washington’s Burgess Route that would take Washington from Mt Vernon to Williamsburg. I believe it was somewhere around 140 miles or so! Thanks for commenting and watching!!
