Oh no! Our first vacation in June was cancelled. A couple weeks before it things started opening back up though and we were able to schedule with another place. It’s nice to get away even with everything going on.

Curt, we stayed in July and really enjoyed it. The only issue was a lengthy check in.

This is a lovely property. We stayed there in 2019. A warning! Please do not get snagged by the Concierge. She or he will offer you tickets to Old Williamsburg for just 90 minutes of your time. We fell for it. We were lied to by our sales agent Jackie, convinced to buy and now we our out $45K, all of our savings. My husband is a 100% service connected Vietnam Vet. I have been contacting the CEO's of VV for months with no response. Enjoy the property but go through Airbnb or some other rental and do not buy!!

I was sooo happy when I saw your video after searching this place because my family and I are going tomorrow for a week. Thank you for sharing, I actually had some concerns because I saw mixed reviews on trip advisor (specifically there were negative reviews in regards to cleanliness), what was your experience? Bed sheets clean? Bathroom looked clean. Also, since we will be there for 1 week, what are some nearby attractions? I see there is a outlet nearby, anything else you would recommend?

They did a great job with cleaning. They are using different bedding so it can be washed better after every stay due to COVID. We drove out to VA Beach a couple times. We like to go to the malls and enjoyed the mall at Virginia Beach. You can see parts of that mall in our SDCC Pop Hunt video. We went to Maggie McFly’s there and the food and drinks are amazing! We enjoyed Astronomical Pancake House and Rocco’s Smokehouse Grille which are closer. Yankee Candle Village was awesome as well. It’s beautiful! I’ll have that video up within the next few days. I hope you enjoy your stay!

The Rou Crew aww you are so helpful! Should I bring my own laundry detergent or is that provided? Thank you for the recommendations, I’m going to check them all out! Btw, how’s the WiFi? The t.v.’s look outdated, can I cast to them from my phone? Or, can I at least log into Netflix and Disney+, etc.? If not, I hope the channel selection is decent to keep the kids entertained even when we stay in :) Can’t wait to see your new video!

No problem! Glad I can help. WiFi was good other than to try to download and upload my videos, which requires more internet than normal. We were able to use 7 devices at a time and it usually worked well. We took our PlayStation with us and connected it so we could watch Netflix and whatnot. The TV choices weren’t too bad. The girls watched Disney Channel most of the week. I wasn’t able to share to the TV from my phone. You will need your own detergent, they did not give us any.

We went during the summer of 2020, so in the start of COVID. At that time we did have to make pool reservations. We never had an issue making them though. I don’t know what they’re doing now. We really enjoyed staying here. I hope you enjoy it as well!
