I wouldn't be mad if they brought back Hayden. Like it or not, he is a key figure in Star Wars. If they found a way to shed a positive light on him, I'd love it.

+vlad the impaler George Lucas always put a heavy emphasis on the visuals. It's really amazing the amount of thought and detail that went into each scene visually. You could almost say George Lucas was so focused on how his movie looked he forgot to account for how his actors sounded. I wouldn't be shocked if Hayden Christensen had largely been chosen for facial expressions he could pull off.

+Tommy North Like giving him better dialogue? Hayden is a good actor, and his PRESENCE as Vader in Episode III was arguably superb. His ability to display emotions physically was fantastic. Shape up the dialogue, direct the scene a bit better, and I can see this being a good thing.

Anakin Skywalker is probably the biggest and most important character in Star Wars. I think John is being completely unfair on Hayden and the prequels. Hayden did the best he could with bad George Lucas dialogue. George Lucas told Hayden to "pull back" on his performances which says a lot to me. Hayden wasn't allowed to perform as he wanted. But Hayden would be working with Rian Johnson this time, as Kristian says. I would like Anakin to reappear. He would tie in all the trilogies. I hope it happens.

+David James Hi David. You are parroting what everyone says about Lucas and the prequels, but you can't blame Lucas for bad acting. Those whiny scenes with Natalie Portman after Anakin killed the sandpeople were the worst! I can't even watch that scene. Plus those supposedly romantic scenes with Padme were so forced. Bad dialogue yes but Hayden should at least be able to flirt convincingly.

Nope. The other rings were not made to deceive anyone. In Tolkiens mythos magic power did not last. It was creteative power of the Valar that once used would fail. It is the reason that as the ages pass they become less and less high fantasy. Once used power begins to fade. The rings were created by the elves to sustain their society and their creations. It was only when Sauron managed to convince the elves that he was an elf lord by taking their form that he managed to learn the art of ring making himself and used that to corrupt what the elves had done. Everything Morgoth did was a corruption, so Sauron being one of Morgoths creations saught to corrupt the pure creations of the elves and used his ring to dominate the other 19 rings and everything that had been created with them. So Saurons ring was very important but certainly not the ony one that mattered because if it were not for the other rings it would have had little purpose...

Hayden is Anakin Darth Vader Skywalker the Chosen One. Thank God he's in it. Sequels would feel outta place if he weren't in it at all so hopefully he will be.

Kanan is quickly moving up my list as one of my favorite Star Wars Characters.

Freddy Prince really brought life to Kanan, and the character just has alot of the qualities that made the other beloved Star Wars character. I see him and get a Obi Wan/ Han Solo vibe yet with such originality. I think its an interesting mix.

Kanan feels a lot to me like one of my favorite EU characters, Kyle Katarn. They aren't the same person but share a lot of the same characteristics and philosophies, I'd say Kanan was most likely modeled after Kyle, and I'm 100% fine with that.

Tiffani makes a great point. All of you guys were on board for Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan because he did fantastic. This is a different Anakin, this is decades after killing innocent people. He is not a young man anymore but instead is a wise experienced force ghost. All of that so called "bad taste" is gone. Hayden would remind you of the prequels just as much as McGregor would and this time Christensen would most likely be portrayed in a great way. You might not like the film quality of the prequels but they did include the permanent appearances for these characters in the saga.

the main problem with the PT was Lucas's directing. you here reports from the actors all they time that he wasn't the most helpful director. now that is nothing against Lucas. I mean he made this great and glorious films and i am thankful to this day for that. but you forget how many other people were involved the OT. i mean he didn't even direct empire and jedi. so i feel given better direction Hayden could do well and redeem himself.

+Ryan Keefe I think Kylo Ren might be Jacen Solo but he might name himself Darth Caedus in Episode 8 or 9, and than in 9 he would have his real name Jacen Solo. Just like when John Harrison revealed himself to be Khan in Into Darkness or even in The Dark Knight Rises when Miranda Tate did when she turned out to be Talia Al Ghoul. Even though the EU may not be canon anymore, it may retain some of it but it some of the plots would be hidden or altered.

"Gently stroking Darth Vader's helmet...." Well...that's a mental image I wasn't expecting.

+RedTomatoeWOT I will not hate on the prequels. That said, the prequel trilogy is the lesser trilogy and will never be the definitive trilogy. The story was ambitious, the characters were tragic, and the action was amazing. But, the direction was poor, the dialogue was clunky, and the computer generated effects were severely abused. The Prequels are not perfect, and neither is the original trilogy, but in terms of them being on equal ground is a flawed look. The original trilogy, despite it's dated/updated effects, it's simple story, and likeable characters carry far more weight than the prequel trilogy. I won't write-off the prequels, or say they are not Star Wars, they are Star Wars, but they are not my Star Wars. If you think differently, and you don't agree with me, fine, but don't expect me to agree with you either. I think we can agree on one thing though, the Star Wars universe is fantastic.

Lmao, the prequels are not as bad as people say but Jesus Christ! the originals that were made before me being a age to remember are 1000X better. saw them in theaters with the re-releases. best part of the prequels was Darth maul and he was 1 film.

First off at Tiff, I think it's great having you on the show, love your positive energy, and ignore John. You are a beautiful woman. Secondly at John, in regards to Haden as Vader. Go back and skim through RotS on mute and watch Haden's nonverbal acting as Vader. He shows the inner conflict and troubled emotions pretty well, and definitely looks intimidating when he's not talking. It wasn't amazing, but it was pretty good I thought.

I haven't started this video yet but I'm going to be pissed if they talk shit on Hayden when they love the idea of Ewan coming back. Hayden and any one from the prequels for that matter deserves the same chance to work on a new SW project with a new director. Plus I really have always wanted to see LUKE have a touching moment with his FATHER at a later point in his life. Imagine what he could learn from Anakin and imagine the FEELS

Actually, Hayden Christiansen has been in training since 2007 for his next SW role. He's been farming. He's getting in touch with his roots and reconnecting with his son Luke. ;)

Episode 3 doesn't suck. It is the 2nd best Star Wars movie behind Empire. it has a great score, great lightsaber battles, and great drama.

I like prequels, I like Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. Especially after "Clone Wars", it is one of my favorite characters in Star Wars universe. So, I hope for some flashbacks with Hayden/Anakin in Episode VIII.

I just finished Lost Stars and wanted to thank you for telling me about this book because I *loved* it. I have always been an imperial sympathizer and now I have a new appreciation for the original saga as a whole. 10/10 would recommend it.

I would LOVE for Hayden Christensen to return. Revenge of the Sith is my favorite Star Wars movie together with Empire. Christensen gave a fantastic performance in that movie and also in Attack of the Clones. People saying otherwise don't know what they're talking about.

Just finished reading Star Wars Lost Stars today and even thought the main characters aren't super significant in the overall universe, I still loved this novel. if it weren't for the council I don't think I would of had even heard of it.

I dont get why some people hate Hayden over his Anakin portrayal?. His Episode 2 performance wasnt wonderful but that was down to Lucas. I thought he played Anakin/Vader very well in Episode 3

To be perfectly honest I do want Hayden to appear in Episode 8. Even though I think the Prequels were terribly made films their overall characters and plot were incredible, just very poorly executed. Matt Lanter's portrayal of Anakin was my childhood hero and getting Anakin (the most important character in Star Wars I might add) to appear at such a crucial time would be perfect.

One of the things they were saying in aftermath was they were speculating on the idea of getting vader's saber to his force ghost/apparition. I could see them collecting vader's items to harness him in the force.

only reason people hate prequels is because they saw sequels first and those who hate sequels saw the prequels first so SHUSH old people

Although the prequels were by no means perfect, The Clone Wars TV shows made me love the Anakin Skywalker and the whole Clone Wars conflict. From watching the show, I wish the first two prequels just took major events from the Clone Wars tv show and took more time exploring the whole Clone Wars conflict.

Been waiting all day for this show!

Luke's entrance in The Force Awakens will likely be one of the most iconic cinematic moments of all time, especially since they're keeping it under such wraps. And yes, I cannot wait to see a truly powerful Jedi Master Luke Skywalker whoop Kylo Ren. And I do think Luke will face Snoke (who I also think is Darth Plagueis).

John, John Binks strikes again. Honestly. Christensen did the best with what he was given. It's not his fault some people didn't enjoy his performance. Seriously I love Star Wars but the amount of hate for the Prequels is ridiculous because I could make a list of things that I despise about the "original" trilogy. It's one story. Deal with it

People take this the wrong way. What about he has no dialog? Just has a flashback scene where he duels with a lightsaber or something? Maybe scenes where he attacks the Jedi Temple? I don't see a bad thing in that, only positives.

Anakin has always been my favorite character in movies,tv,and books. The prequels were hindered by bad writing but the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker to me is the greatest story ever. Thumbs up to this rumor.

+Nicholas Perry The latest tease from season 2 of Star Wars Rebels, that shows Ezra questioning himself and hinting of not wanting to follow neither Sith nor Jedi, would fit right into the whole Knights of Ren not being Sith, and could also hint at his fate post Rebels. I don't want to jump too far ahead, but if Rebels ended with Kanan's death at the hands of a fallen Ezra, or his death in any way altering Ezra's fate that leads to him creating this new order, Rebels would had done an amazing job of tying into Episode 7. Cause I gotta say... pre Rebels all we heard was how this show ties into Force Awakens in some way/s and so far I haven't seen it. Rebels is the only new canon I could say that about. I hope this upcoming seasons goes that direction

I actually like Hayden as Anakin and Darth Vader but I must admit, I like him because of the Clone wars. In the movies he was annoying and creepy and I didn't like his punk ass, I wanted Obi Wan to slap him 99.99% of the time. But the Clone Wars made me appreciate the prequels more and Hayden as Anakin... Maybe the scene that its rumored will be when he goes to the temple and starts killing the Jedi and maybe he confronts a known Jedi Master that has something to do with the new trilogy or a relative, or survivor, or some sort of meditation state and a vision pops up and see Anakin on that moment. I mean what other scene would he need "training" for, I mean other than acting training that's all that I can think off.

The planet Jaku 360 video, it is actually interactive. You can move the cursor on the screen and change your POV, it's lag when you drag and drop something onto a new page.

The Dameron last name is also given to a member of the Rebel Strike force from the Battle of Endor in the new Shattered Empire comic series. (Poe's dad, maybe?)

I liked Hayden after I got used to it. He's a much better actor than Lucas allowed him to be.

I would do things with Tiffany that would make a Sith blush.

+Jim BB8 The argument for it that people make is that Anakin was last seen as good in Episode III. Which is completely untrue. He stops being Vader and becomes Anakin again at the end of ROTJ. So the last time he's alive and good, he's old Anakin. So yeah having him as a young ghost makes no sense.

Here is the bottom line, Hayden Christiansen IS Anakin Skywalker, the prequels are CANON (wherever you love them or hate them). If they were to do a flashback or Anakin appear as a force ghost, and not use prequel material or not use Hayden, it is an insult to George Lucas. And I am sorry, but I think a confrontation scene by ghost Anakin and Kylo, with Anakin telling him he is oh so wrong would be pretty sweet.

Here comes the Campea prequel hate. Yawn. I think he is completely oblivious to the fact that many many people out there LIKE the prequels! His attitude about those movies completely turns me off of this show.

I think it was one of BB-8's or Poe Dameron's toy descriptions that he's Poe's droid so that much is confirmed at least.

I just watched Anthony Ingruber imitating Han Solo and DAMN! I see what you mean! My heart was seriously racing from a nostalgic overload! It's like one of them times where, for me anyway, you think "if you could make an actor young again to reprise their roles..." with this guy I saw the next best thing!

Given how successful the prequels were (Sorry, numbers don't lie), they did something right. Sorry to burst your bubble there, John. Now was there some bad writing in I-III? Oh yes. Was there some equally bad writing and acting in IV-VI? (The whole twincest grossness for one, ugh) Oh yes. And if you better not remind people of the Prequels, why were the two Clone Wars series so successful, hmmmmm?

Speculation on the whole "following BB-8" thing: BB-8 has been seen on the Lego and small-scale movie prop versions of Poe's X-wing. I believe that either Poe and BB-8 were captured on some sort of mission, and Finn took BB-8 (and maybe Poe?) along with him when he abandoned the First Order, OR because Poe is stationed on Jakku, he left BB-8 behind when he went on the mission and later got captured. BB-8 later got away from the Resistance base or from Finn and was later captured by Rey.

Tiffany nailed the runtime. The Force Awakens was indeed 2 hours and 16 minutes long.

I so tired of Campea's desperate attempts to be cool with certain types of nerds the few that actually hate the Prequels. Look how much money they made, look at their critical score and audience rating they have majority approval. I'm tired of these old crabby ass dudes WHINING repeatedly about the same shit over and over and over again. Mainly Campea. It's almost unbearable while you're watching to try to get new SW news. Kristian dislikes them too, but he's an adult about says he acknowledges the Prequel love but disagrees hopes we all like the Sequels. Such negative energy from Campea about Hayden thou is too much. You just wish you could be in SW, he's freaking Anakin Darth Vader Skywalker, a millionaire, and married to Rachael Bilson. I say Hayden wins.

The guy freaking out over the prequels seems extremely childish, and irrational. I didn't like them either, but it's not like they are mind cancer.

Anthony Ingruber would be amazing as a young Han Solo. He is still an unknown. I feel if you cast an unknown like Ingruber it will be great because when the audience sees Han Solo they have to believe that it's Han Solo.

For the Rogue One shoot, the bit where Kristen says that the filming in Iceland is Yavin IV, the planet Sullust is based on the country Iceland so it makes sense that it may more likely be Sullust. However it could be Yavin IV. Just putting my thoughts

Hayden made Anakin look like a badass and has literally gave me the most rememberable acting performance in star wars. When Anakin was turning to the dark side fighting obi wan, I actually believed that act of Hayden playing Anakin. He perfectly made Anakin look like he turned to the dark side and I actually 100% took all of those acts as actually looking believable. When I was very young I liked Darth Vader just because "Oh hes the villain and hes a badass" When I got older and watched the Anakin story of how he turned to the dark side and seen Hayden play as Anakin, Anakin became my favorite character because he was the most believable. You could feel that fucker turning to the dark side and you could see it in his face and emotion. Hayden made Anakin look like a badass, a thousand times more badass than what Darth Vader already was. Hes even more favorable because of the fact he was good and got twisted to be more evil, and hes more relateable than the other fucking characters. Who the fuck relates with han solo? Fuck that guy Who the fuck relates with Obi Wan? Fuck him Anakin's story is like peoples every day life Hes good hearted because thats what people are born to be, good He loves people and tries to protect them but then starts turning evil because he does not know if people even respect him, doesn't know if people even trust him, and on top of that is having temptation to save his wife by doing evil, and many people relate to that because alot of people WOULD do things that would make their own life suffer to save someone they love. I'm pretty sure everyone has those days where they feel like they are about to turn to the dark side :) and people look back and realize they are not the same person as they were when they were young. That is why ANakin is the best character, hes the most real and relatable. Hayden obliterated Anakin's character in a good way. I watch alot of movies and don't relate or believe the acts I see When I watched Anakin fight Obi Wan and give that speach before he fought Obi Wan, I not only believed that shit, but I said "yo, this fucker ANakin is like me on bad days when I feel like I'm about to turn to the fucking dark side" Hes the best because, everyone is good inside, and its realistic for someone to turn to the dark side, as you can say it. Hes more realistic compared to someone who is just "good" all their life.

The thing about Aftermath, if they have things planned out, they can't back out because its part of the larger universe. It's suppose to connect to other stories. They can change some things but the big events, I'll be surprised if they hadn't plan that out ahead of time.

If they do bring him back, put it in a flashback of the Jedi Purge. Let us have that moment that was implied, but not shown. I would like to see him take on Cin Drallig and other Jedi. Show it as his tragic fall. He went to the Dark Side so fast it was almost ridiculous.

I think it would be great to see Christensen's Vader in Flashbacks. Seeing his ascension as Darth Vader and Palpatine would also be a nice addition.

I got the Lords of the Sith audiobook and tried listening to it . Don't get me wrong, my English skills (I am german) are pretty good and I have no trouble understanding most stuff, but something about the audiobook makes it really hard for me. I am not sure if its the voice and accent of the reader, the terminology which i don't immediately grasp or a combination of both. Has anybody made similar experiences that could give me some advice? Should I just power through it so i eventually adapt?

Kristian mentioned he thought BB-8 might be Poe Dameron's astromech. I just bought an action figure set with BB-8, and the back confirms this. It says: "BB-8 is the spherical, loyal Astromech Droid of the Resistance pilot, Poe Dameron."
