Hope you guys had a great weekend! Know you guys were expecting Parabol/Parabola as the next Tool video but it was time Alex heard The Pot! Parabola is coming soon though don’t worry! Let us know your interpretations of The Pot down below ⬇️! Have a great day guys! 😁🔥🤟🏻

Great vid, great song, great band. How about "Unknown Soldier" by Weather Report from "I Sing The Body Electric" and staying on the theme of literature, King Crimson's "Starless & Bible Black" a reference to Dylan Thomas. Camus, great.

Liar, lawyer, mirror- show me what’s the difference? Who are you to wave your fatty finger at me, fucking hypocrite. Kangaroo (court) done hung the guilty with the innocent. My interpretation is that Maynard was sick sick sick of hypocritical authority figures/lying governments and the unjust “justice” system. You know-the usual. 😉

Please react to "NEVER TEAR US APART" by INXS. Thanks
Has he had a taste of Vicarious yet. Deep meaning
"Weeping shades of cozened indigo" refers to people shedding fake tears. The songs general theme is hypocrisy. Great Vid!
I remember back when The Pot was "The new song"
I’m an old dude...I was 16 in 1969...never heard Tool...Best new music I’ve listened too in a long time...who has my face? What the hell! Give it back!
I absolutely love seeing younger people indulging in the Tool experience. Well articulated and put together thoughts and expressions by these two. The best band of my generation by far without debate. Thx
in 200 years theyll be talking about metallica.... but theyll be listening to tool

Stealing that line. Thanks.. Ha.
The way tool writes music amazes me the band records all parts before letting Maynard (the singer) even writes a word. He listens to the song instrumentals then writes the lyrics to the song

BeforeReform I think Danny Carey has said that ideas for the music come from all 3 of them but he is the only one with the musical knowledge to arrange everything. You can hear it in their songs too. For example, Jambi sounds like its musical idea came from Adam and Ticks and Leeches was obviously composed around the drum beat...
Parabol + Parabola is still my favorite song, since I first heard it like 15 years ago, and I can't wait to see you two react to it. Hope it's soon.
I know that people think it's weird how MJK sounded different on this song than most others. That's part of what made me like The Pot in the first place. That higher pitched tone combined with the heavy as hell bass, crunchy minimalistic main riff and tribal drums in the intro always gave the song a hypnotic eerieness to it that made it stand out from some other songs in their discography.
One of my favorite go fast driving songs.... I only got into Tool about 5 years ago and they have since become one of my favorite bands.
Lost keys/ Rosetta Stoned is a masterpiece due to its complexity, I mean... If you want a hell of an experience... With aliens and dmt haha

Negatron on the "with video". Lyric vids only, always. There's a good reason everybody keeps saying that. Nobody wants to see a review of fan-made art that detracts from the listener's attention, compromising the full, pure Tool, audio experience.
One of my favourite Tool songs. When that bass first kicks in at the start... yaaaaaaassss. New subscriber here, loving your reactions 👋
Love this. That bassline gets me every time it comes back in. Such a jam
the pot calling the kettle black : A phrase used to convey that the criticisms a person is aiming at someone else could equally well apply to themselves.
Love your guys Tool reactions. Gives me hope for the future.
Do Rosetta Stoned youre ready for it, their best song in my opinion.
Your guys are sick 🤘🏼 love the content! I like your interpretation of the lyrics, it mainly refers to Kangaroo courts (where the verdict is predetermined basically) but that’s what I love about Tool, you can have so many personal interpretations, that very from what Maynard is referring too and it can make sense. Great vid!
Liked the changing rhythms and watching Alex really get into that. BTW, tears of sadness are biochemically different than tears created by cutting onions. Love that Alex reads Camus. Indigo is an interesting color (ROYGBIV, you know), ah, gotta love the whole electromagnetic spectrum.❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
5:52 I enjoy watching their heads go from still to bobbing in 1/8T to a steady 1/4 respect bob
For the full Tool experience, see them live. You won’t regret it. The light/video show will blow you away. Bought my first Tool album in 1993 because Maynard’s voice was so intriguing and the bass hit hard. Been a fan ever since and can’t pass up a show. Great job guys. Keep up exploring great music!
Great, really enjoyed it, thanks Andy 😘
Great choice Andy! I hadn’t heard this song in a long time, and had forgotten how lyrically impactful this song was. I think I just listened to it five times in succession!

I found it annoying and distracting. Mostly because it was a first time reaction for someone. To associate it with the song leaves a warp first perception.
Hey. You fellas do a good job with these Tool reviews. Keep me around after the song is through. Respect, keep it up and cheers.
Awesome....thumbs up first preview second...much love guys....keep spiraling....
Yesss one of my favorite songs!! From lyrics to dirty basslines its got it all.
I’ve been watching you guys for almost a year a didn’t know you reacted to this. Dope
30 seconds in, and you could tell his mind was blown lol
Love your reactions as yer listening 🤘 brilliant, tool rule
You guys are dope as hell and this is my favorite jam band of all time
You guys were genuinely into this. Loved your reaction and discussion about meaning.
I like your reactions. I need to point out that this isnt official or fan made. The video wasnt made for the song, it is a french short called "Les Escargots" (The snails) by René Laloux. There is also a video for Forty Six & 2 that is a clip from the movie El laberinto de Fauno by Guillermo del Toro. They got a ton of views though

@Gar Ciaff Yeah I knew it wasn’t official or anything but I’d seen it a couple times before and felt it fits pretty good and that it wouldn’t hinder Alex’s experience any, and yeah the 46 and 2 vid I don’t think fits (in terms of the general meaning) too well, I think lyric videos are generally the way to go when showing people Tool in the end. Haha. Thanks for the info about the video though I did not know those specifics! 😁
🤣🤣🤣 the reactions are epically funny! I wonder if I had these facial reactions when I was younger! Yes, Yes I did! 🤗😈
Andy I love your enthusiasm at the beginning. And I love how intense Alex face is watching this. And I absolutely love y’all being philosophical as shit. Lol. I love themes and deep meanings. It’s why I love music, lyrics, and poetry. I love going deep into meanings. Deep thoughts with Andy and Alex. ❤️

Haha....love the expression on his face when his mind got blown.
One of the best vocal intro songs ...and that bass lick tho...!!...YEEEET...!!...
ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SONG FROM TOOL 🤘🏻 Loved seeing your excitement 🔥🔥😁😁
With Tool there are always layers of complexity: musically, lyrically and with the video, visually. Some people can't see it because they won't see it but this is art. The more perceptive and open you are, the more it will enrich you.
Thanks guys! The Pot one of my favorites!
I was close to your age, the first time I heard Tool's first ep. They hadn't quite hit it big yet. We were all jamming Beastie Boys and Nirvana in those days. It was completely innovative and heavy and emotional. Can't believe it's been so long, and it speaks to people in such a personal level, and it's almost like a moment of illumination to experience this music.
Yo I fucking love watching you guys . Such genuine reactions 🙌🏻
For me, this song just deals with general hypocrisy and the oppression from those with power. Of course it's easy to peg it to be specifically talking about the war on drugs, given all the references to being high. In that context you can look at it as old people who did drugs in their youth are now imprisoning young people who do it now. There's also alot of discussion about the legal system and how corrupt it is, and even a little dig at the government at the end there. One thing most people don't understand is why he constantly talks about the 'kangaroo'. It's a reference to 'kangaroo courts', which are nothing more than a show trial where the outcome is predetermined, almost exclusively to the damning of the prosecuted.

I’m seeing a lot of suggestions for Parabol+Parabola here. I concur! DEFINITELY do the music video for that one! For one thing, there’s an actual official video for those songs and it’s incredible.
Grateful dead - Birdsong live 08/27/72!
Tool the flood if you want one of their heavier tunes.Recommend it highly.
Young guys keeping the torch burning. It's total fucking mind melter music.
Tool is one of the few bands that make 4/4 feel like an odd time lol. The accents on the "a" of 4 (4e+A) give this such a unique feel.
Tool Disposition-Reflection-Triad you must do all three back to back they go with one another
Had to watch it again could only listen the first time glad I did .👍 Sorry guys I can never remember who's who, bro with the hair dude your facial expressions are so subtle but yet speak loud and clear. I've been listening to these guys since 93 and still make faces. Mind blown eh! lol🤯🤘🤘🤘🤘
Great choice guys this is definitely a 10 by far thanx great reaction. Now I'm going to buy some of Maynard's wine it's kinda hard to get.
Okay guys. I acquiesced and went waaay out of my comfort zone, as you are doing. Loved it! I am more with Alex on rating... The musicianship...Amazing! Wth is that beat? Arrhythmic syncopation or something? It felt like I was feeling a heart fibrillating at times. Omg. Lyrics are a lot to upack (kind of like Rush, Free Will). Thanks for the nudge into the different! lol :)

Another great song I’d never heard before. Thank you. Listening to the two of you talk about music I think your favourite band is Radiohead, you just haven’t met them yet😉
Their inginuity of musical arrangement and execution is on an entirely singular plateau.
Yah Sober and The Pot were the two tunes that really turned me on to Tool - also seeing them at Oz Fest back in the 90's
It’s time to get deep with TOOL, guys. Third eye and Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned (Read lyrics before hand to this song, after reading I would play the song without the lyrics just to admire the genius.) This song took me a couple of times to digest how great it is but it’s ultimately my favorite piece of art. (Sorry for the comment spam, you guys ever end up seeing them 🤣)

It might be time for you guys to understand TOOL and thereby Maynard and his childhood. Check out Jimmy, 10,000 days or another one of Maynards bands A Perfect Circle.... react to the Judith official video.

@sarahzentexas I’ll usually have us only with the lyric vid for Tool songs, but I let this one slip though just because Alex likes figurative/metaphorical vids
Please react to some The Mars Volta! Their first album is a good introduction. Try Roulette Dares (The Haunt of) and or Son et lumière & Inertiatic ESP combined. They have even more mind-blowing stuff in their later albums but it may be somewhat strange if you aren't aware of how their sound has progressed.
You guys have to check out Lost Keys/Blame Hoffman & Rosetta Stoned!
For those who don't know the animation playing with the song is "Les Escargot", 1966, by Rene Leloux.

Jerk off or ticks and leaches is tools heaviest song and both have Crazy screams in them jerk off has maynard's highest note in the final scream of the song
Hey I know a lot of songs all kinds but for the majority they are in the past. I'm sure there are many good songs I've missed like this one. This one rocks for me! Have you reacted to Pull Me Under by Dream Theater? Love the intro.
"Foot in mouth and head up asshole watch chu talking bout?" Ha great line, love this song.

There is no bad Tool song!!!! My favorite band!
Best song ever to be created in my opinion
"Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his back a thousand times, and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. Where be your gibes now? Your gambols? Your songs? Your flashes of merriment that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one now to mock your own grinning? Quite chapfallen?"
If you guys want to hear super heavy old school tool listen to Tool - Jerk Off.
Some suggestions: watch the whole Lateralus album video with lyrics. So much message inside. You can rethink the whole life while listening. And that's the reason Tool don't like streaming services. Their music is meant to be listened that way to fully get the message. One of the funniest Tool creations: Lost Keys + Rosetta Stoned (again - focus on the lyrics, stop the video to read everything, funny as hell) And do some more bands. You guys got the potential to grow this channel.
