It wasn't a designed fake. It was a bad snap, which normally gives a punter the idea to run with the ball because they don't think they'll be able to get the kick off after recovering from the bad snap anyway. The punter just couldn't overcome his natural instinct to run when they had 44 yards to go for the first. Definitely dumb but not a called play.

I looked up that Kaelin Clay kid and the results of that game. Instead of going up 14-0, game gets tied 7-7 and they go on to lose 51-27. This is what I don't get. He had 1 TD in his FBS career before that. He was averaging less than 20 yards a game receiving going into that. This wasn't some team MVP having a moment of arrogance. I was sitting in the front row right in front of Kaelin Clay when he dropped it at the 1. Didn’t even notice. I was hyped af. When they ruled it a TD for Oregon instead, I legit threw up. I had been kinda sick all day but I wasn’t gonna miss the oregon game and that rollercoaster of emotion got to me. I was as embarrassed as him that day, a lot of people saw me barf

I feel bad for Butch. He's a sight better than Lane Kiffin and Derek Dooley were for us. It's not entirely his fault. We have a young team this year. We lost Dobbs, we lost Malone, and we lost Hurd. Frankly the only experienced player we have is Ethan Wolfe. We'll get back to where we were.

They should've tried a 110 yard field goal on 3rd and 93. Yes the math is correct. 93+7+10. Ball is on the 7, generally a 7 yard snap on field goal attempts, and the uprights are at the back of the 10 yard endzone. 👍
