I find it interesting how with acceptance letters with videos attached, Asian parents always seem to still hold off on celebrating until they literally see "congratulations." I've seen this over and over, and only with Asian parents. There seems to be a very literal, "don't believe anything until it's clearly spelled out undeniably" kind of approach, there.

Congratulations. Getting accepted into Columbia, UCLA, and Purdue would probably make my sun baked brain decide it would be a good idea to flip over three unsuspecting tables so... Either way, good luck on your future endeavors. Heard you wanted to go into cs, I think, which really peaked my interest as I am a prospect cs major, so I hope to see more from you. Also if you weren't going into cs, I am truly sorry. My sun baked brain doesn't usually work in the afternoon.

Congratulations on getting into UCLA and Columbia. If I would’ve gotten those two I would’ve also chose Columbia! Of course, that would also happen to be because I went to USC! ☺️ Good luck in all your endeavors!

Hahahaha I had the exact same reaction as you when Columbia came out. I was more shocked than anything, looking around and asking "what??" as my family screamed around me. Congrats! I guess ill see you there as '28! GO LIONS!!!!

It's harder to get into UCLA than it is to get into Berkeley, and yet Berkeley rejected you and UCLA accepted you. It has to be all about the major itself--too many geeky computer science nerds up that way, the major is impacted too much. Besides, UCLA is much better anyway--much better town, better people, and much better campus.
