Been listening to these guys for 30 years. The sound is unmistakable and I'm here for it.
This riff sounds like an inverted version of Where The River Flows.

Agreed!!!! Everything they touch is GOLD!!!
I'm about to be 25 soon, and I first discovered Collective Soul when I was 19. At the time, they were just about the coolest band in the world to me and I often dreamed about what it would be like to meet Ed Roland, because he's the coolest guy in the world. Well, 17 concerts and a load of meet and greets later, I'm so extremely proud to say that Collective Soul are my friends, and I know everybody in the music video, including the director, who was responsible for helping me meet Ed for the first time. Collective Soul is such a personable band and the scene where Ed hugs his mom is exactly the way he hugs his fans. He's so honest and pure and we're never going to find another band like Collective Soul in this world. Though I am sad that I discovered them in 2019, it's better late then never. Most people sleep on this band, but I never will.

@RetroSoulGirl : good for you ! :) This was a great lil story you told. Made me smile. I can totally relate. There are lots of people (young and older) who like yourself, discover great musicians or great bands years later. It happens to me every so often. Now that I'm on KZread more often than the other social websites. I will stumble upon a band that I click with instantly, thinking they are new. I go to make a comment on the video I watched, and notice that some of the comments from fans were made 1 to 7 yrs ago? Leaves me dumb founded and thinking to myself, " what?" " Now way?!" "How have I not heard of these guys before now?!?" But.... that's the beauty of Music and all of the talent that comes with it. It's never too late to fall in love with a band or specific Musician. I personally think that's what makes bands even better when the younger generation is still discovering them and loving them the same way the older generation has. Music frees the soul. I couldn't live without it. Congrats on meeting Ed. I'm sure he got just as excited to meet another new fan of his. Musicians who truely love what they do, never get tired of meeting there fans. Especially younger fans who remind them they are still making great music after all these years. ;)

Pure collective soul sound....wow still going strong...
These guys have never lost their touch. Still sounds great after all these years.
Sounds like Classic Collective Soul!
One of the best rock bands ever, but extremely underrated. Their sound is unique. A new classic.

Not underrated. They were a powerhouse back in the day. Every fan say their old prefered rock bands are considered underrated once they fade away and make songs that sound the same over and over and over.

They were one of the biggest rock bands in the 90s, their first album went triple platinum, and they have a large enough following that they go on tour every year. How is that extremely underrated? I am so tired of people throwing that term around.
They haven’t had a good quality video like this in years. Love it.
I hate seeing people get older but I can’t deny Ed still brings a ton of energy to their live shows. Can’t wait to see them again in a couple weeks! Also how tf did he keeps his hair

This new double album is one of their best albums to date. Difficult to pick a favorite. Mother’s Love Bluer Than So Blue Let It Flow Not The Same Keep It On Track Be the One Who Loves Words Away Letter from E No Man’s Land I Know You, You Know Me Over and Out
Biased, given my brother and I went to high school with most of the founding members :) but still completely dig their sound. It's also a nice throwback to see Ed driving the classic Trans Am. In the 80s, our high school parking lot (which, at the time, was just across the street from where Ed's dad preached... and just down the road from Will's dad's music studio) there were almost always a dozen or so of those and their Z-28 t-top counterparts. Good times. Thanks for the memories and the continued great tunes.

Definitely a Collective Soul song. Turn the radio on and you know who it is playing. Kudos to you
Love these guys & have for 30 years, have seen them in concert five times and they never disappoint! One of the most underrated bands of all time.
Love it!! Hardest working band for 30 + years and still killing it! Great new stuff!
Goosebumps. Wow
Beautiful song video 😍❤Long live Collective Soul🙏Batang 90s here🤟😎❗
I felt completely represented in this video. My relationship with my mother is exactly like that, she guided me through the world of good rock n roll, then she was proud watching me take my first steps in music and today we share this with a lot of love. Thank you Collective Soul, always bringing good emotions.
Wow! They still sound like 30 years ago.
This is definitely the Collective Soul I love, this is awesome!
Always there but this is the CS I grew up on!!! Love all their tunes! 27 year later! 10 live shows, 1 time pulled up on the stage! Keep kicking ass! Love you dudes!
Instantly love it! Pure Collective Soul DNA! Wow-Awesome video/making every frame count!
Saw them in Cincinnati last night and they opened with this one. Absolutely undeniable Collective Soul sound. Thirty years in and they’re still crushing it!
Christ is Risen!
Vamoss!!!!
Very touching video. Glad he made his family part of it. FWIW, you can tell Lindsey is a Roland: he looks like both Ed and Dean did in their younger years.
Love it! I’m a long time fan! ❤ saw these guys in New Orleans several years ago. I’m so proud that they don’t cover there gray! I don’t either!

This one has that magic Collective Soul thing. I was just thinking the other day about how rare it is for a band that's been around 20-30 years to make new hits up there with the hits from their prime. I think these boys just did it. Love it.
Great song, great video, and what a great classic car!!! Thanks Collective Soul! PS - one of my all time favorite songs is She Said.

I'm so glad to see the release of your new album. I've been a fan since you released your self-titled album in March of 1995.

Great song from a great album!
Loving Collective Soul tapping their roots with such a solid, tight track. Please return to Australia!!
So, correct me if I am wrong about the video concept. Lynette is looking through the photos in her family album and the scenes with Lindsey are supposed to be flashbacks that she is remembering of her and Ed when he was young and listening to records and 8 track tapes. So, Lindsey is playing the role of the younger version of his father in the video. Very cool! So glad to see both of them in the video too. Great job and great concept too! I agree with the others that it does sound a little like Where The River Flows too. This made me have flashbacks too. 👍😉🤓

I loved that Pontiac Firebird Black Trans am; my stepfather had that when I was a kid in the 1980s! Great song!
¡Ustedes cómo siempre llegando a la médula de mi corazón de pollo sensible ❤❤❤❤❤ los amo! desde el día 1 en que ví el vídeo, Shine y sin duda me morire agradecida de escuchar siempre su música ❤🎉
Love this sound. Good job guys
Underrated band
Holy shit,it's like I'm transported back to 1995;some of the best times and music EVER! And his voice sounds just as good,if not better, where so many singers from back then should just "pack up and give up" on new music.
Way to go guys..... keep pushin!
I have that Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album by Elton John. It's a favorite for certain! The artwork for each song on the sleeve makes it a great collectable.
Thanks for the video and all the great memories in your music. Sounding good, my dudes.
The ending hilarious! Loving the album!

Can’t wait to see them at The Bluestone! The last time I was able to catch these guys was in Kaneohe HI., at Bayfest in the early 2000s with Joan Jett. They were fantastic!
