This is a very apparent when you hear the 2015 remake of Shine which was recorded about 30 years after the original. It sounds 99.9% the same.

@@mphillips4324 exactly. Most singers who are his age sadly have lost a lot of their vocal abilities but Ed’s voice has aged well and he can still push himself whenever he wants.

Best single by Collective Soul in many years! It brings me back to that classic Collective Soul sound of the 90's. I felt nostalgic listening to it. This is Collective Soul at their best. I love it.

Thumbs uped the video before I even heard the song. It's Collective Soul. I expect nothing less than excellent, and I'm a 24 year old superfan.

I'm on board. They became eligible in 2018 (I think) but haven't been on a ballot yet. Can't believe DMB was elected this year but Collective Soul hasn't been on the ballot yet! Shameful!

Has a Where the River Flows vibe - these guys just crank out good rock consistently.

VERY EXCITED to hear these new songs from the BEST ERA of music EVER!!! IMO. TBT ~ Music nowadays DOES NOT compare to the music in the 90’s. Every artist had their own style which set them apart but these days there’s ALOT of artists who sound similar to others. Sad really. I miss the 90’s!!! 💔🥺

Literally the same in different orientation. Same as Manson did with with disposable teens. The filler is the only difference, but is the same-ish as multiple other songs.still, I love them.

Let's hope they all keep it going! During the first year or so of Covid, I kept telling people that the '90s were back (or never really went away): We got The Father of All... from Green Day and Gigaton from Pearl Jam near or just before the start of lockdowns, were supposed to get Van Weezer that year (and still got OK Human; had to wait until 2021 for VW), and Vibrating was ready to go in 2020 (but release was delayed until 2022). I have been waiting for this album for a long time. Ed had said in interviews that they had several projects in the can and that they were looking at a 2024 release for one of them. When the news hit that it was going to be a double album out in May, I marked the date on my calendar.
