You'd be surprised what they had... I had pages and pages of text walkthroughs that my dad printed out, to point and click adventure games like King's Quest, Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis, etc. I had no idea how to play those games otherwise, I was so young. And that was the early to mid-90s. We didn't have videos, sure, but there was probably someone out there that broke down how to get every gem in some kind of list. But my dad was a pretty tech-savvy nerd like me. He probably knew how to use the web before it was an everyday utility in basically every home, especially considering phones. It just wasn't in everyone's pocket like it is today.

I figured it out on my own, but it was completely by accident. I was looking for the gem and was in that dead-end room with all the nitro crates because I always found it suspicious, and I decides to jump behind the nitros at the back, probably to see if the door would open or something. I noticed I was clipping into the wall partially and I thought it might have just been a bad hitbox but I keep going until I disappeared entirely and then I realised it was a fake wall. Crazy devs.

That red gem in Snow go Crash 2. Is like this... slide(against the wall) and jump+spin and body slam bcs that increases the height and you get the gem. Yellow gem in Crash 3 is similar to the red gem in Crash 2 its in a completely different level.

Still easier than collecting all of them the remaster trilogy

I just can't ever bring myself to complete crash 3 because of the relics. You can go to hell if you think I'm getting a gold relic on every stage after already getting every gem in every stage

Looked up on the Internet. Ha. I was 9 when I used something called a cheat book. That I still have.

I dunno, that platform that takes you to the Snow Go red gem route was one of the first ones I found, and it was the 90's and we still had dial up at the time Now, that pterodactyl in Crash 3? Yeah, I had to look that up years later lol

In the original it was also possible to slide on the ice too far to the right so when you dropped down you could miss the hitbox for the red gem and have to do it allnover again 💀 Thankfully the remake doesn't have that issue
