ENJOYED YOUR REVIEW OF THE SUPERMAN THE EVIL VERSION. THE REASON FOR THAT KINDA BASE THAT I CAN SEE THAT THE EVIL SUPERMAN IS DESTRUCTIVE, DON'T FORGET ABOUT WHAT HE DID TO THE EIFFEL TOWER AND THE OLYMPICS GAMES. AND ALSO THIS IS A ANGRY SUPERMAN, AND WHEN HE COMES DOWN, HE'S COMING DOWN HARD.

Really? They chose doing a figure for Superman 3 and NOT a Zod?!? I would have highly preferred even a Clark Kent over this. That being said, I do agree that this was the best part of the movie, so this specific figure isn't that bad of an idea (and the first Hot Toys Superman figure truly was phenomenal). I just feel like they could have done a much better companion piece to that first superman figure.

I really like the over all look of this one compared to the original version. Im just curious as to how easy the suit is to take off. Id like to switch out the body to a more muscular one.

If I could even afford the first one, I totally would get that one and this one, I'd also get the Man of Steel one, and a Clark Kent once they got off their butts and made one... But alas, I am too poor for such pleasures...sigh.

I'm such a sucker for Superman 3, I know its a horrible movie but one of my childhood memories is the epic fight between Evil Supes and Clark Kent, sometimes I just put on the movie to watch that scene

haha yeah, that scene is what makes the whole movie worth the money. If only the movie was darker and less goofy it could have been so much better.

That would have been a better base for the original superman, ie, superman 2. Always disliked the base of solitude, to large and cumbersome.

I don't mind the base but its not relative at all to Superman from Superman III, if they had given him a base that looked like the junkyard or for fun part of the bar he's sitting at flicking peanuts sure, but this rubble base really has little to do with this character

Spot isn't moaning, he's providing a critical assessment, a review. There are very few flawless figures out there and he wouldn't be very good at his job if he loved everything and skated over the negatives. Objectively, there are legitimate missteps with this figure. The base is completely out of context: there wasn't a smashed up road when the two Clark's were facing off. Worse still, Hot Toys were lazy with the head sculpt. In the film, 'sick' Superman looked much more disheveled, with his hair being puffed out and unkempt. The neutral expression also is a disservice To Christopher's fine performance in that he managed to convey anger, torture, sickness, conflict in his expressions. Had Hot Toys gone all in, this figure would have been a standout piece, a must have. As it stands, it's just a nice option to have. Don't get me wrong, I love the stand and this figure in its own right, I just wish that it had been more screen faithful.
