Coleman AT125-EX assembly and first drive!

We recently purchased a 2021 Coleman 125cc ATV from our local tractor supply store, eager to see how this little quad would perform in the hands of some reckless teens. So far, first impressions are very good. We’ll be treating it nicely during the break-in period, and after that I’ll get y’all some top speed numbers and other updates. I have a feeling it’s gonna be a ripper!
Be sure to like the video if you enjoyed it, and check us out on Instagram at @canadiantrailatv for some behind the scenes activity, upcoming videos and other future projects in the works!

    Is there any way you can make this thing have a little more torque? Or is there any way to remove the governor

    I’m not sure actually. These things are still difficult to find any info or videos on as of now. If you watch my top speed video on this quad you’ll see that it revs out all the way so I don’t think it has a governer on it at all.

    Did you ever figure out how to get better throttle response?

  • @canadiantrailatv

    @canadiantrailatv

    Жыл бұрын

    In stock form, throttle response is just fine. After getting through the quad's break-in period we've been putting it through it's paces, and it has proved much more capable than we had initially thought. If you wanted to squeeze a little more power out of one of these, could change the carb & add a higher flow air filter to it.

    You will need to put oil in the quad before first starting it. I should have shown that process in the video but it took just over a quart of 15W-40 which is what the user manual calls for.

    Mine had a rather high idle when i bought it, all it took was a flat screwdriver to turn the idle screw on the carb. As for the issue with the bike smoking, not sure what to tell you besides making sure the oil level is good, and maybe chnage it if it is required.

    That was good of Tractor Supply for allowing an exchange for another bike. Although mine still seems to be running perfectly fine to this day, there are a few too many problematic and possibly defective units out there.
