Cole has worked in BBQ for over 5+ years, doesn't know how to do this (its the cornerstone of BBQ)
Cole Parkman has worked at 2 of the top 10 BBQ spots in Texas, Truth BBQ in Houston and LeRoy & Lewis in the Austin area alongside Leonard Botello IV and Evan LeRoy. He made a shocking confession to me of not knowing how to start fires. Turns out someone has always either helped or there's been help with starters.
This all came to a head when in 2021 Cole had to start a fire at Texas Monthly BBQ festival to cook some sausages. This is the story of how everything went down at the festival in front of some of the best BBQ pitmasters from around the state

What a great story, and how refreshing it is to hear such honesty. Confucius said be not ashamed of mistakes and thus make them crimes. Therefore, Alabama Charley votes to acquit Cole.😃 All jokes aside, Cole is a big league BBQ badass.

Start small... and then give it a little bit of time and use a small cordless blower and I guarantee you your fire will take off like nobody's business
This guy definitely is a pyromaniac, burned down a bunch of stuff and is just pretending not to know to hide his crimes.
