From 4:24 onward...the best musical instrument in this song is Chris Martin's voice and the way it flows so harmoniously with the other instruments. It adds meaning to every song, which is that something extra many other bands don't have and that makes Coldplay so special.

Wrong,the bassist didnt make any mistake....the mistake was done by the drummer,he started playing the build up part when chris was suposse to hit that last verse solo (no drums) thats why the drummer stopped and then resumed in the part he should....

I’ve read somewhere theres some piano part were wrote by Matthew Bellamy from Muse.

I discovered this Coldplay song during lockdown, I cant tell where I have been all my life.

Every time I see a Coldplay concert on the TV I pray they play this, the new stuff is good but this takes me right back , you cannot beat the early stuff, I always hope for Strawberry Swing too.

I smile every time Chris laughs. It's literally beautiful and I don't know why I love that part so much.

2:41 look at Guy and Will, then Johnny joins in as they missed up before at 1:47 XD shows how great chemistry they have between them

Best performance ever, no matter how many times you listen to this

And also, you see how they keep going, no matter the situation. They kept going, had fun with it, and showed how well they all know each other. You can have anybody play together to make music, but having 4 guys that are great friends performing together, it gives some kind of special something you can't get anywhere else. This is what makes Coldplay so amazing (that and the awesome music, of course)

debo de admitir..que cuando esta canción empezaba inmediatamente la quitaba... un día escuchando un mix...empezó este vídeo y la deje continuar, pasaban los segundos y seguía sin gustarme, hasta que llega el minuto 2:51 en adelante...deje de hacer lo que estaba haciendo y me quede mudo viendo el vídeo, es tal vez de esas pequeñas partes en una canción que puede cambiar todo... lo que ocurre de ese minuto en adelante es simplemente mágico... I was at their viva la vida concert when they came to edmonton and it was the best concert i have ever been to. The emotion of bliss in the stadium was an experience you probably cant get with many other musicians in this world.

*What I think works so well for this song is that it starts with a rather simple and repetative chord progression that creates a lot of tension for the first few minutes . Then at **2:53** the release of the tension starts which invoves a more "open" chord progression and it breaks free from the tension build up in the first few minutes. If it had started out with the part of **2:53**, then the effect would be much less powerful*

Politik is so raw and beautiful that the live version sounds exactly the same as the studio version.

Not only is this song alone magnificent, but this performance was so flawless. As always.

la versión inicial (del 2003 al 2006 aprox.) es mas pura , más desgarradora, debe ser por lo que sucedía en la vida de cada integrante por aquella época, en esta versión del 2011 se siente una canción normal sin mensaje, sin emoción, sin melancolía... POLITIK es mi canción favorita, por que lleva un solo de piano magnifico, la versión tocada en Toronto en el 2006 me mata cada vez que la escucho, extraño ese feeling :(
