I think this is really cool! How/where can I find techniques to make a mold that has a surface imperfection detail like wrought iron or cast iron? It seems a clean mold will have a clean finish and I'd prefer an old-school look. Nice Video!

All depends on how you are making your object! If your making it in a 3d program like zbrush there are a ton of texture brushes. If your hand sculpting you can make a pattering tool by making a mold inside a cast iron pan. There's also a variety of paint techniques some spray paints or other sealants can produce some cool textures. A couple light layers of plastidip could create a cast iron like feel.

Cullens Workshop -Yeah, looks like it’s gonna take some trialing to get the right look. With zbrush you’d still have 3D print it, correct? I thought that’d probably need a lot of work to cover up the print lines. But might be worth checking into that tool. I really like being able to do smaller scale pieces that have a full-sized look. Thanks for the inspiration! (Wish we could have got a slow close-up on the final shot😊)

If you interested in learning, you could modify this file with fusion 360. If you want someone to do it, I'd try contacting the person who made this file.
