i am a big fan of both guys but you bring up some very valid points. it’s unfortunate a guy sits out almost 2 years even if he had things going on outside the octagon, i think it may also show a problem with activity in the division. i still think colby has a good chance i can see either guy winning. after the fight assuming shavkhat also gets the job done, i think he should fight belal and the winner of that fight gets the winner of leon vs colby. that was a lot of typing but great video 👍

It's funny because Dana White was shitting on Francis Ngannou fighting 3 times in 3 years. Then you have Henry Cejudo who gets a title shot against Aljo after being retired since 2020. And then you got Colby who gets a third title shot and hasnt been active in nearly 2 years, his last 3 wins were against fighters who were on a losing skid and have since retired from MMA (Lawler, Woodley and Masvidal). To me, the problem with this is what the hell are the rankings for?

another important thing maybe is age. there are young hungry prospects inevery division and at welterweight there’s lots of older fighters and veterans. we need to see a clash of young fighters proving their own against the old. at least we can get something like that with shavkhat and wonder boy, also gilbert burns vs Jdm if that gets booked. hopefully that makes sense.

Colby sells fights. Someone like Belal who deserves a shot next does not sell fights. We’ll see what happens Saturday night tho

He sold you a fight that was lackluster due to zero effort on his part…did you get what you paid for from the man who sold you the fight?

I don't think Colby deserves a title shot but I think the "Dana White privilege" claims are a bit silly. Colby is NOT Dana's boy. They've had some very public beef in the past and there's zero indication they got over it and became BFFs.

@@proscasuals You really don't remember? Colby said he would smack Dana if Dana tried to put the belt around him and Dana said something like "I'd like to see him try. That guy is a Fing idiot". It was a few years back. Rather big story. There was also something involving Colby messing with Dana at a restaurant. Don't remember the specifics. Been a while. But Dana wasn't happy. And you say they are cool now but Dana sided with Jorge in the suckerpunch incident and that really doesn't seem like something someone that was Colby's boy would do. At best their relationship is a bit more professial then it was when they were beefing but I see no reason to think Dana likes Colby.

@@proscasuals Also, your "they are both boys with Trump therefore they are boys with each other" logic doesn't really work. Know who else is Trump's boy? Jorge. So are Colby and Jorge cool too? Come on bruh. Nor is Colby some sort of in for Dana to be friendly with Trump. As far as I know, Trump and Colby barely know each other. While Dana and Trump are legit friends and have been for decades.
