Uk media don't like mma at all, didn't see a single article about Leon winning the title, but they fanboy over AJ and Fury

For someone that grew up in a football family but also fell in love with MMA 15 plus years ago what a time to be alive for the sport. Our Football legends like Rio interviewing our current UFC champ

He was always good. But he was super underrated. Plus he was the first ranked guy (rank 3 at that time) to accept Khamzat when everyone was ducking. But Khamzat got covid and then pulled out.

He's always been a banger. He had a rough ride with matchups on his way here. Other than a decision loss to Usman a long time ago, and being wobbled by Diaz, he hasn't put a foot wrong. No fighter deserved it more.

Had the pleasure of meeting him in Birmingham citu centre while working just after the head kick ko and seen him and instantly shouted "HEADSHOT...DEAD" HE SMILED ..had a 5 minute chat with us and took a picture ,hes a very humble lovely guy i already loved him being a brummie .

Love to see the champ at work, people underrated Leon but he's one of the few male champs outta the 8 current champs (Including only others like Islam and Volk) that's actually defended their belt. He's the first fighter to finish Usman In the UFC (while he was on a 16 fight win streak), first fighter to beat Usman twice In his MMA career, first UK champ to win the belt training and residing from the UK and the first Jamaican born UFC champ. And If he beats Colby, I could Leon possibly becoming the greatest Englishman UFC champion/fighter (Even more so than Bisping and maybe even Tom).
