An idea: Coke Studio Pakistan is so popular that you don’t even have to take random requests for it. You can literally start from season 1 and work your way upto season 12 and I won’t be surprised if you cross a 100K subscriber mark at the end (or more), since almost every song has reasonable fan-following.

John....I am an Indian woman who has lived in America for more than 30 years. Hate is getting worse here. Indians and Pakistanis are lovers of music and if you show love to our music we reciprocate with love.....you keep doing what you do. You are amazing.....yes we need more love in this troubled time.

another interesting fact for you Cameron! Season 6 was recorded in a completely different way/level. every artist was recorded separately at a separate time and was merged afterward accordingly. It was a huge task to do in that way and record foreign artists as well. This idea helped Rohail Hyatt in COVID times and he managed to give a beautiful season in a similar way, when there was no hope of music in covid.

Yes John, Muazzam Ali Khan is the cousin of Rahat Ali Khan, also nephew of the legend, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Their father was Mujahid Mubarak Ali Khan, brother of NFAK. Muazaam been performing with his brother Rizwan as Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali Group since the late 1990s. They played their first major concert in 1998 at the Womad Rivermead festival in Reading, England. Please react to "Miyan Ki Malhar" from Coke Studio Season 6. Hands down the best season of Coke Studio for me. Coke Studio season 1 to season 6 were produced/composed by legend Rohail Hayyat. Then he returned from Season 11 onwards recently out Season 12. From Season 7 to Season 10 it was produced by a Pakistani band "Strings" & various other composers.

There's a folk lore that Sohni(lady) used to use her clay pot to cross the river while hanging to it to meet her lover across the river... Her jealous cousin changed her clay pot with a raw one which resulted in her death when she drowned in the middle of the river since it was a raw pot. Muhammad right here is singing the conversation between her clay pot and herself how she's relying on the pot to help her cross the river while clay pot is asking her to look carefully since its weak and the tides are high. Beautiful Check the lyrics

This song tells a folk story when the girl drowned in the river as she used to cross the river by holding the fire burnt clay pot. But this time the hatter replaced the pot with unburnt pot that melted away as she was cossing the river. The chaos in the ending part of the song was the moment the singers tried expression as the girl drown. Plus the pot also tells the girl to recognize him that I am "casha" meaning soft . And this time we both will drown. The girl never cossed the river and the lover kept waiting "by the river"

The instrument you are talking about is called "Dholki" its a wooden barrel enclosed with the goat skin on the drumhead. Regarding Muazam Ali Khan he is the nephew of great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and cousin of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Lots of love man! I know you've your Texas 🤠 to chose for you but if any exceptions due react to Naina Moray - Cokestudio, believe me there is no better Cokestudio production then it and the composition the vocals and specially the instruments used in the performance would mesmerize you.
