I did some research on those white bands. They go way back to when they actually had flintlock rifles. The back pouch was a carry bag for flints and gun powder and the red stripe thing was the fuse for the rifle.

@@christophermichaelclarence6003 The two regiments of The Household Cavalry Lifeguards in red uniforms , Blues and Royals in dark blue . They are the most senior regiments of The British Army with traditions going back to 1600 , and always lead parades on State occasions , unless The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery are on parade with the guns for firing salutes . A Google search for The Household Cavalry and for The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery ( who take over at Horse Guards for 3 weeks in June when HCav take a holiday , bay horses , black and gold uniforms ) so much interesting reading .😊

COH? Bugler is exellent; primo! As a very young US Airman, I hated formal inspection. The stress and pressue to be perfect!

Oh no, the dreaded giggles! Even as an adult, during my working years, I’d find myself in a meeting or something where laughing was just not cool, and there I am with the only other person in the room that has no control over silliness, trying not to giggle like a couple of kids in church! I love it!!!😹😹😹

The Horse Guards all looking amazing in their spring uniform. I’d prefer when they’re Redcoat uniform. That’s who they are. They all look the French Republican Cavalry
