    This lady picked a coffee from Colombia from the Bucaramanga region? Why the best coffee in Colombia is from the eje cafetero region the central region of the country so of course that coffee from Bucaramanga won't fair well against a power house like blue mountain

    Hi Cesar, thanks for commenting. We only feature 6 contenders per episode, so it can never be an exhaustive list. We choose options based on a number of factors, such as popularity, availability, reputation or bestsellers, etc. However, we will be doing a Mark 2 of some of the categories, so will definitely consider your recommendation at the time. Thanks again for sharing & have a great day. 👍😊

    As born and raised in Pakistan 🇵🇰 I was astonished that how much they love coffee here in Australia 🇦🇺. Not a big fan of coffee but I just love tea. Especially the one my mum used to make fresh from cow milk from our farm and trust me there's nothing like tea ( Pakistani style). You are doing a good job. Best review channel I've come across. Good on ya mate! 👏🏻 Love and prayers from land down under.

    I think you missed some to compare. Indonesian coffee, one of which java named after, have its own specialty as well. And most of them are grown in volcanic ground beans with different characters.

    Yes, there are certainly many more fantastic coffees out there in addition to these six! As we always select 6 contenders per episode, we filter down based on iconic favourites, geography, popularity or particularly interesting options, and while we can’t cover everything in one video, we will always bear in mind recommendations for future taste tests! Thanks for sharing and I do hope you enjoyed the video. 👍😊

    I'm not a great lover of coffee out of a jar having I believe a discerning palate. These are awesome beans and wouldn't disagree with your top three. I'll stick with my routine of a rare coffee when the moment strikes and enjoy quality rather than quantity. Always look forward to your reviews 👍

    Thank you so much for your extremely kind comment and I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! As for Jamaican Blue Mountain’s bitterness, it was almost imperceptible, very, very smooth indeed with only the slightest, slightest trace of bitterness. Hope that helps & have a wonderful weekend 👍😊

    Enjoyed the video, but look at the variability in grind size that your cheap grinder produces! Imagine sieving the grounds down to a uniform grind size and doing pour over instead of french press! It would make all the difference in the world, I imagine. (Adding milk also seems sort of criminal.)

    I want to know where are you finding the beans at the prices mention in your video. Your prices are far far cheaper then the ones I see online.

  • @thetastetestchannel

    @thetastetestchannel

    Hey there, links to the actual online stores where we bought the coffees are included in the description. Just in case you didn’t realise, prices shown on the video were per 100grams, not per pack, and some included an introductory discount, also regularly found online. Prices may well change frequently as many coffee houses buy on a bidding system so prices can be quite volatile. Hope that helps 👍😊

    Have just bought some Kona and Blue mountain, tried the Blue Mountain and it is very smooth but does not really do much for me, Kona have not yet opened however I had some a long time ago and it was fantastic, bought it again from elsewhere and it was nowhere as good probably not Kona at all.
