As a belgian I would also recommend the mayonaise from “La William”. This is less know/distributed but comes closest to the taste of the mayonaise of a tipycal belgian “frituur”. 🤤

Well... as an American of Japanese ancestry, I've know about Kewpie for a very long time and consider it the best mayo I've ever had and always pick up a bottle when I want that special taste or when it is on sale. My entire extended family considers it "The Good Stuff". Otherwise, other than Kewpie, I don't actually use any mayo since technically Miracle Whip is not a mayo. I love the idea of showing pairings; a stroke of genius.

Agree, that Kewpie _did_ look interesting. I'll be on the lookout for it. In my city, we have more Koreans than Japanese, so I don't know if I'll see it, but I'll look. I also heard that a lot of restaurateurs favor Kewpie-another good reason to be on the look out.

I really like Kewpie on Japanese dishes such as Okonomiyaki, but it's contextual and i find it's flavour too dominant for other dishes. Helmans is more versatile.

Add Winiary from Poland to your list 😊. I am using it all the time but I will try some that I haven't. Thank you for this video

I live in the southern part of midwestern USA. My favorite brand of mayo is Duke's, but I always have Kewpie and McCormick mayonesa on hand as well. I will be on the lookout for D&L now.

Best Foods is my go-to mayonnaise. Always was, always will be. It's a family favorite.

I think the fact it "goes with anything" is its strong point. That flexibility adds to people buying it for nearly any use.

Very nice vid; lots of good facts. I was raised on Best Foods Mayonnaise. Now it's owned by Unilever, the makers of Dove soap. Not so sure I want more Best Foods mayo any longer ...

Never tried the Hellmans though I've seen it in the supermarket, but it's so white, it reminds me of wood glue. So I guess that's why I always leave it on the shelve. I prefer Calve or Zaanse, probably because I grew up with that. The Belgium mayonaisse is way to vinegar for me. Never tried the other brands. In the Netherlands we just eat it with fries of fried snacks, nothing else. We like to combine it with saté (peanut) sauce.

It's important not to confuse squeezable bottled Helmans, with the one that comes in a jar. The latter is far superior. They are completely different products.

Avoid big multinational brands like a pleagu .

I can tell you the worst. D & L light mayo. It's so sweet it ruins everything you put it in. Gross.
