Really enjoyed listening to this chatter between Ric Flair and Cody Rhodes. Watched most of the matches they talked about during the early 80's and into the 90's. Far as I'm concerned, it was the best of the worker era. The guy who could hold a decent match and work the mic was so freakin over, and they pushed them hard. Made for great grudge matches.. Damn, I'm gettin old...

Ali got his big promos from wrestlers like Buddy Rogers, Ric Flair wrestled Buddy Rogers, Dusty got from Ali, and Harley Race a man in a bar, ring or in the street and Japan, Dusty at 302 matched up against anyone, looks like Cody back to WWE. Hope everyone sees Crockett Cup night two on Fite tv , go Nick Aldis and what will JJ do, go Tarheels for the NCAA Tourny, right Ric. And it was cool to see David Crockett at the cup, NWA King Of Pro Wrestling, cool to see Sting in AEW, and a dream match between Brock Lesnar vs Harry Smith. NWA keep it up.

Great job Mark. I am thoroughly amazed at your knowledge of wrestling history! Couple that with your excellent writing for the Pittsburgh Trib Live on the Steelers, Pens and Pirates! I am a longtime wrestling fan especially Jim Crockett, WCW, of Ric Flair, the Four Horsemen! Love the show!

I find it interesting that everytime Flair brings up promos and talks about " old timers" he never mentions the man that even Thunderbolt Patterson got it from. The first black man to ever wrestler for the NWA World Title. Sweet Daddy Siki.. He not only had the talk but he was the very first to have the gold watches and Cadillac and sequenced robes and sun glasses . Even before Gorgeous George.
