Touching on Ric’s idea, the crowd is going to pop when he initially returns. Gotta see how it is months later.

Is Cody workshopping his inaugural promo? Will his entrance music roll as he appears on the ramp? Come through the crowd? Oooh! Maybe the ol’ lights out schtick? Regardless, I’ll be fine if they can manage to keep Brandi away from the ring, camera and mic.

I think ric is back drinking, I can hear it in his voice.

AEW guys should not base anything on how well Cody gets pushed..Cody is viewed as a returning WWE guy. All AEW grown stars will be made an example of, buried and shit on. Thats what Vince does to guys who made their name with competitors wih very few exceptions.

It's time for WRESTLEMANIA!!! The music starts playing and commentators introduce us to the show and card. Then it cuts to a back segment where we see a carpenter's back redesigning Triple H's throne. But wait what does the camera catch from the rear side neck of this carpenter, a tattoo of short resembling USA map. When carpenter moves to the side of the throne we see its none other than CODY RHODES! Now starts the journey of the new highest paid jobber and new Vince/Hunter gimmick the Patriot Carpenter!!

Just going to leave this comment here for a few years time when he’s been jobbed out to Gable Steveson and Bron Breakker

@@themixchannel2341 you actually believe that in this day any of the talent can go off script without Vince blowing a gasket given the focus on how much they want to keep the network/sponsors happy… the whole product is micromanaged. Vince will not look at a Cody as anything over than upper card enhancement talent to get is chosen top guys over. He’s done this for generations and I’ve been watching since the late 80s so I’ve seen it happen for decades. He doesn’t care about what a guy did in another promotion and how “over” they were, he’s never ever given a single sh!t about it 😂

Before he left AEW he was walking the John cena line. He knows how to handle the crowd he’s performing in front of.

I disagree with Ric here. Wrestlemania brings out a lot of casual fans that may not know him. I think doing what Ric said, but on the Raw after Mania would serve Cody better.

30 minutes? WWE has evolved from World Wrestling Entertainment to World Wrestling Entrances over the years. The entrances to many matches are longer than the matches itself. Regarding Cody, Flair undoubtedly wants every wrestler to be a heel (Cody, Cesaro etc). Lol

He would Still be in AEW had he agreed to turn Heel too! Tony saw value in his heel turn but without it Cody was stale. Whats worse is having him near the top and beating people when he can't even challenge for the World Title. It brings down everyone he beats.

They could book Cody against a heel tattoo artist. The backstory would be Cody is seeking revenge on the guy for giving him that ugly ass neck tattoo. Instead of the loser getting his head shaved, they would be forced to get a face tattoo and spend the rest of their lives in a trailer park.

… I’m booking Cody Rhodes to come back and do one thing win the WWE championship. I have him come back and say that’s the only thing he never did in that company when his father was alive and it would be his mission to win the title. Then I have whoever’s the champion come out and tell him he doesn’t deserve it because he doesn’t at this point and I would make him go on year long Odyssey of getting the right to win the title. Have him come close to winning the royal rumble and get eliminated last. Then maybe beat whoever beat him in the rumble for the right to fight in wrestlemania and win the title it makes you was wrestlemania. It could be a year long story line were you talking about the American dreams dream…his son as the champ. It would give Cody a chance to be himself it will bring back a lot of old-school wrestling fans with the memories of Dusty. Didn’t give him a run for the title a couple months and move on.

Well, Cody, as good as he is, is still not a needle-pusher like his father or brother were...he was more of a symbolic pick-up than a monumental one... I'll actually laugh if he turns heel on his debut when he couldn't in AEW, where it would've went over better...my guess is that he'll start at the top of the card with a big push and slowly fade back into mid-card status and sports-entertainment obscurity within 6-8 months

Mark you are delusional if you think that no matter how they treat him if they even treat him well they might give him the Mimi a spot that might give him a title shot run I don't know if they'll actually given the title shot but they're giving him what older people want which is a boatload of money but they'll never take care of your actual career he did that himself they would have just had him typecasted he did everything by himself down to his own entrance music it won't be something where people will want to jump because they'll get treated like Sasha Banks like Cesaro and half the people who left after the budget cut who have relevance and are in a much better space because of the pro wrestling and the money is in all elite wrestling in WWE there's money but it's Sports entertainment and what I mean by that is that it's frivolous and the product is merchandise and catch phrases and microphone time it has nothing to do with the main product sells the other things it has nothing to do with pro wrestling because he doesn't give enough time for people to breathe to be themselves or to choreograph and have chemistry in a match they just get thrown together and then if they're professionals they can win but they will not do anything with the person as a character or that will better their career
