    I love coconut oil!! It's the best. The first time I heard of coconut oil it was a long time ago on the Doctor Oz show and ever since I started to use it for everything even for my hair. I lost like 30lbs so far and I love it. Can you do a recipe using the coconut oil so everyone can see how it works.

    Lauric, lactic myristic acids are one of the best natural acids that is good in cleansing as well as prevention in most bacterial infection.     I do I have mid back pain after a quick table spoon of coconut oil paint free all day so....I don't know why but it t works and I coconut it all and am having no sugar or Carb cravings on days I have coconut oil that's the only thing that controls my cravings all day too

    Does the Trader Joe's coconut cream have these same properties? I put 2 tbsp in a 12 oz smooth mixed with other thing such as 1/2 banana, 3 small strawberries, 1cup of kale, 6 oz unsweetened almond milk, some lemon juice, some cod liver oil, and some apple cider vinegar. Topped off with a scoop of any flavor shakeology

    Dee Mz Simple answer is yes. You want to use Cold pressed Virgin Organic Coconut oil. When you cook with Coconut oil, use Himalayan salt and the taste will be better.

    Try Monolaurin instead, it is 300 times more bioactive than coconut oil, but make sure that you get only the Abs Pure Monolaurin as they are the first and only brand that comes with pure Monolaurin without any of the harmful additives such as silica, stearates, rice filler etc.

    Oil pulling, applying to my skin and ingesting coconut oil with honey helped heal my SIBO, Candida and parasites infection overload. Would it also help in releasing whatever is plugging causing malabsorption?

    I have Crohn's disease and it's really bad right now. I'm constantly in the worst pain of my life and vomiting all day long. The doctors are planning on removing my larger intestine. Would eating coconut oil help me? What should I do? Thank you for this video!!!! -Amanda

    Amanda Kay Have you looked into The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet? Myself, and my two sisters all have autoimmune diseases and follow it with amazing success. One of my sisters has Crohn's and it's been very helpful for her. Google Dr Sarah Ballantyne and Autoimmune Protocol. She has written a fantastic book that is like a textbook and will teach you all you need to know. Her website also has all the information. There are many really great cookbooks for this diet. My favorite is The Healing Kitchen by the same author. Also, Google Low Dose Naltrexone + Chris Kresser. This medication has been phenomenal for people with Crohn's. I use it as well. He has some great podcasts and info on his site about it. It's the only medication that has shown some reversal with Crohn's and has been shown to be very safe. Best of luck to you.     Coconut oil would help with the inflammation, also you should try looking into a vegan diet. Everything you eat affects your body and especially with chrones disease, even if you temporarily went on a vegan cleanse diet, it would have a large impact on your chrones disease.

    Georgi Wilbur Do you have Crohn's of have any solid medical knowledge of the disease or autoimmune? I couldn't disagree with you more about a vegan diet and Crohn's. please don't give medical advice to anyone with an autoimmune disease unless you have first have knowledge of the disease and medical background. You can do serious, irreversible damage or worse. Yes, diet makes a huge difference in ones health but there is no one diet that is universal. For autoimmune disease, including Crohn's, vegan is not the answer. It would do incredible harm. This girl is in serious condition. Your suggestion would put her in the hospital and in surgery with part of her colon removed.

    It's high in saturated fats though which is the main component in rising cholesterol. I've heard that coconuts and cashews have "good" saturated fats, but I'm still wary of them.

    Coconut oil raises hdl (good cholesterol) which reduces ldl(bad cholesterol) and in turn the soybean oil in nearly all shelf stable salad dressings and mayo raises the bad ldl cholesterol my doctors blood tests every 3 months has proved this out

    Here in Philippines, there's a pioneering doctor here that implements Virgin Coconut Oil in the hospital to treat patients. And I think he said OR I think I read it somewhere that to gain the maximum benefits of VCO (the antiviral/bacterial effect) is to consume 3 tablespoon a day (1 morning, 1 afternoon, 1 evening). Also, based on my experience (because I easily get flu/fever especially if there's bad weather) the best time to consume VCO to distroy virus (fever/flu) is to consume it before sleeping. So, if you take 1 table spoon in the afternoon it is best to sleep right after.

    I think that's because most of them have an outdated knowledge in terms of saturated fat. Because it is said that ALL saturated fats are bad to our health, especially in our heart. But new study indicates that not all saturated fats are bad, especially in the case of VCO. VCO is a saturated fat (90%) and 60% of it is a medium chain fatty acid, and MCFA are quickly absorbed by the liver. PS. Im no expert in these field.
