This is how a silkstone should look!! I got this doll a few years ago as a present for my birthday, so she's extra special to me :) I actually have all five of the dolls from 2013, but cocktail dress and mermaid gown are my two favorites. I never take my silkstones out of the box, so I always wondered about that train. I was a little hesitant about the watteau train on a shorter dress, I always thought that it looked better on long dresses, but I have to admit that it's just gorgeous on this cocktail dress. Gosh she is BREATHTAKING! That hair color is my fav tone of blond - it's more ashier than golden and more golden than platinum. Like it's perfect.

My favorite day is when you upload a new vid 😂 she's stunning, but hey! Blue chiffon ball gown doesn't look so bad displayed, but then again, your display overall it's like literally goals haha!

This is an absolutely exquisite doll and I think inspiration came from the first Nolan Miller doll! The train embellished with crystals right up to the champagne inlay are spot on but classics like this will always endure 😍

Hi Suresh! Sometimes when you see an image of a new Silkstone (or any fashion doll) you don't quite see the full picture. Then when I seek out more images of that certain doll, it is already too late to buy her. This is one of those dolls. Her face paint is to die for.There is one Silkstone that keeps eluding me and she is Palm Beach Coral. She is for sale at the same retail price of $149.99 and I can't even get her on a lay-away. I have 5 other Palm Beach Silkstones but not the Coral. I got Delphine last summer and I should be grateful. Lol. Cocktail Dress is indeed stunning.

She is on my list of MUST HAVE! p.s catching up on your videos, back from vacation!

I could do without the glittery eyes, but she's beautiful. I hope they will make some newer dolls at this level, at least with the clothing and jewelry if they decide to keep the new bodies.

I fell in love with silkstone collection because of this ghurl.. this is the type of dress that I dreamt of wearing when I was very little but with skirt touching the ground and with an exaggeratedly long trail at the back hahaha. I hope we'll get to see silkstone with better details and quality just like the old ones

Suresh NY the poseable silkstone has a very wierd body proportion. the articulation sucks.. the twist nd turn waist is stuck. the bamboo arms and hideous elbow doesn't blend with the sophistication of the doll. main observation is all my girls can bend their knees but has this issue of not able to keep the pose when you try to pivot her knees from side to side.

Another great and informative review! Love it! Since I'm keeping my doll unopened, it's truly a delight seeing a deboxed review online. I'm looking forward to your next video, please do the Mermaid Gown next..really anxious to hear your opinion on her...

Suresh NY Aw, thanks. I have 60 Silkies in my collection but I kept them NRFB. Your reviews allows me to appreciate them even more as you delve into the construction of their ensemble. To an untrained eyes like mine, the dolls are simply gorgeous, but I know little to none about the effort that goes into making them. You allow us to understand this aspect of the dolls and I'm so grateful for it. Aside from the Mermaid Gown, the Ballgown AA doll from the same series is definitely worth checking out. The construction of her gown especially the bodice area is simply gorgeous even to an untrained eyes like mine.

Suresh NY This Cocktail dress Barbie is dear to me as she was among the first Silkstone doll I ever owned. There are many beautiful sub-collection in this collection, particularly this Atelier Cruise, as well the French Couture, British Invasion, Hooray to Hollywood and Italian Alta Moda collection..

Simply amazing! And thanks for teaching me that "chantilly" is not just a type of cream, super-greedy me! 😅

I understand Barbie may not be selling well these days, but them cutting value of their new dolls is only going to increase their decline in sales. If they don't give collectors what they want, collectors will go with other doll manufactures that are listening to them.

Suresh NY, If the dress were Lined it wouldn't fit right . Campus Belle is a perfect example of how lining the dress ruined the look and fit because Barbie isn't a life size person .
