    I just got back from the rub a dub dub (a little brahms and Liszt after a few Britneys) when I had a butcher's at this. I couldn't adam and eve my mince pies. My china is a septic tank and he reckons you're a couple of Melvyns but I said nah mate, they're diamond geeezers. Btw a" barney" in my part of London means an argument (not rhyming slang): "I had a barney with the trouble and strife

    I remember reading somewhere that this is why the act of making a fart noise with your mouth is called "blowing a raspberry" because in cockney rhyming slang it was "Fart = raspberry tart"

    Dear Papa teach me... I 've been working hard on my Cockney accent and I think i sound quite good. However sometimes when I hear my self talking I realize i sound a tad Australian. Could you make a video explaining the differences between Cockney and Australian? Ta!

    One important difference is that in Australian the tone rises at the end of the sentence as in a question.

    wish I could learn all the basic cockney slangs. sometimes I talk to people using those and none of 'em will understand and yet they will nod and agree. 😄

    I’m from Brighton so cockney slang filtered down to us, porkie pies - lies, brown bread - dead, scooby do, - ain’t got a clue among others

    It's not Berkshire Hunt. It's Berkley Hunt - which was a large travelling hunt from western counties which arrived in London as a huge piss up etc.

    Love it. Well done. But is Cockney Rhyming Slang really antiquated? In other words, do East Ender's not use it anymore? With recent common rhyming slang like "Britney Spears" (beers), I'd expected it was alive and well.
