Thank you for your kind words and the age i mentioned in video is accurate because i shoot the clip daily and this video help many people including me to find their chicks age in future to crosscheck whether their chicks growth is upto the age or malnourished and its amazing to watch how these babies can grow soo fast in every single day

Polite Suggestion - should have placed the baby on a soft base like a towel rather than a hard floor(It might hurt their legs and Beaks). The stagewise videos are amazing.

Also, it made me a bit uncomfortable that they are in the open and strong wind like that. When I raised my first chick, I would hardly let my room window open because I was afraid to chill the baby.

​@@artsybitsy2242 You did right buying a grown up now, I hope for your sake the bird is 2 months old. And one that's best not hand fed and don't, never, hand feed yourself if it's not an emergency. Hand feeding should be emergency case only. I don't get why people sell babie birds. It's very difficult to treat them right (as an unexperienced person), they're very fragile and it's more then a full time job, 24 hours of the day you need to feed. And their parents still feed them, teach them bird specific behaviour when they're about 10 weeks old. It's like ripping a child off it's family.

@@birbdad1842 im an experienced person actually i had handfeeds before but they flew away, they did not die. This is my first time a bird died to me. I have 6 handfeeds now. The 3 are eating vegetables already and is 2-3 months old. But still loves formula😅. Also i handfeed because i dont like buying domesticated bird because they can take alot of time to tame. I like buying birds so that I can handfeed them and so they will know me sonce they are a baby. My handfeeds dont bite and are very close to me... And i love them and give them care that they need Its my first time handfeeding that young but i learned my lesson😌

What stopped the bird from flying off at the end?

Well, when you let the parents breed and don't hand feed (hand feeding is best for emergency cases), I don't see an issue breeding cockatiels. It's not much different from breeding chickens then. Just don't let them breed too often in the year, it's very exhausting for the females.

it is possible by visual sexing, we can say their gender around 50 days old but it is not suitable for all mutations in cockatiels because some mutations are monomorphic
