Yes, what an amateur! Most annoying! He’s shooting one noisy picture at a time and the video is quietly taking 30 pictures every second. God how annoying!!! Next time use a mirror-less camera or set your still camera to video mode!

This poor girl looks petrified. I can only think it's b/c of all the eyes on her, making her self- conscious. She has a beautiful smile. I'd love to see an update on how she's doing now.

Such a beautiful young lady....so glad for her...I love the Dad's reactions...lots of LOVE in the room...

Imagine opening the 900 photos of the same thing and trying to decide which photo turned out best.

Glad kids are getting to hear the sound for the first time.....it's not going to stop. Thanks to all who made it possible for this noble deed... God Bless you all Abundantly.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, while gaining her hearing via the Cochlear implant, she lost her vision from staring directly into a flash bulb for the duration of the session.

I don't understand the need for a still camera when video is being recorded. And most still cameras have the ability to turn off the shutter noise. Great video!

The guy snapping the camera is annoying. He needs to stop. I can only imagine how overwhelming it was for her.

Very unprofessional to use cameras with reflex mirror shutters. That's why there are MIRRORLESS CAMERAS for more than several years already.

ive been deaf since i was 6. totally dead left ear and only 25 % in right ear which has faded down to about 8 % now. lost my ability to hear on a phone 25 yrs ago. i am now profound. i made a decision a few weeks ago to have this done to me. im 48 now, and its terrifying me. im not sure what i can really expect from it.

They restricted her emotions because of the camera's were too uncomfortable for her. After 20 pictures I'm going to consider him a perv.

The doctor is more concerned with talking to the cameras than communicating to his patient what he's doing - she's deaf, not invisible. Yes, she's a bit shy, wonder why? Maybe the 2 cameras and videos recorders in her face have something to do with it. Or maybe she's trying to ignore the circus around her while she experiences a momentous event in her life. I wish her a life full of wonder and joy.

This is a private and beautiful time. Family first, the annoying camera people later. Recreate the moment. Gezzzzzz. Welcome little lady to the CI Journey. It will be AMAZING

I am going to start looking into a cochlear implant. Been losing my nearing since I was a teen. But now it’s so bad I can’t even have a conversation with people. Get by from lip reading but it’s time to take my life back. I just hope my doctors agree.

They were utterly unprofessional by not using MIRRORLESS cameras. These cameras are silent if you cancel the beeper (ironically, like these fellows cancelled theirs on their excruciatingly noisy reflex mirror shutters)

Carson Dobey only people with hearing loss or deafness can only understand how it feels to be able to hear again...like myself as well but the hearing aids do help and it can sometimes be difficult at times to understand people when they're speaking to you like in a full sentence.

must be harder if the person has never heard sounds before, not knowing what to expect or what sound even is. In all these videos, i always see family support. that is great :)

@@willsmith589 i don't like to be where there's so much going on...like crowded areas or places with many people around. With hearing aids you don't know which sound it is or where is coming from...it can give you the affect of vertigo and dizziness too.

Shes not smiling cause shes about to punch that camera guy in the face🙄

I had mine done 14 years ago may the good Lord be with her😊

I was disappointed, after watching the little kids' reactions, on other vids.

I think that the camera man is total insensitive and I'm sure that every friend or family member that watches this wonderful video must ask Who TF hired that idiot. God bless this young lady ❤️

Craig Barrett yes, I have the oposite, I have Hyperacusis, the sounds are too loud for me, it causes pain to my ears and brain, is due to overexposing to loud noise, there is no cure, take care, use earplugs for concerts, partys, be careful with music in headphones
