With practically every big movie in theatres being a part of some massive cinematic universe or franchise, moviegoers have expressed a craving for new, original ideas to hit the big screen. Well their prayers have been answered, in the form of a big ol’ bear doing cocaine and attacking people.
Cocaine Bear definitely raises some questions. Like how did this movie get greenlit? Why are there so many intricate human plotlines in a movie about a bear doing cocaine? Why did the bear spare those kids? HOW WAS THIS MOVIE GREENLIT!
To answer all these questions, check out the pitch meeting that led to Cocaine Bear.

Significant portions of this film were filmed in the Republic of Ireland. I know this because, one day while visiting a place called powerscourt waterfall in county wicklow, we saw a film crew and a fake ranger station and a big sign saying "Georgia State Park". I strolled over to one of the crew and asked him what was being made, and he said "a film called Cocaine Bear", and I seriously thought he was joking. Then I figured that was just a working title that would get changed before release. In case you were wondering, they were filming the bit where the ambulance pulls up to the ranger station

The catch phrase pause was A MASTERPIECE!
Knowing the stupid pun of "BEARLY an inconvenience" was going to happen as soon as I saw what movie was going to be pitched and you still got a laugh out of me from, "..........................that was really good". Thank you so much for sharing your comedy to us all. Love it.
For the one person who thought "barely an inconvenience" was getting old, they should know that this one video extended its life by a thousand years.

Quick trivia question, do you know which pitch meeting he forgot to include it in, and came back in an after-credits scene to add it in?

I'm just glad to see Hollywood is willing to hire a hardened ex-con like character actress Margo Martindale.

Nah, just means you have standards. Much better to spend an enjoyable 5 minutes or so on a funny video instead of wasting a couple hours on an extremely bad movie! Plus, of course, nothing says you CAN'T see the movie afterward. I mean, just cause I don't think I have done it doesn't mean it isn't possible...or so I think.

I think Ryan was waiting a long time for that "barely an inconvenience" pun.
The part asking for the bear to come back in is one of the funniest segments you've had in a pitch meeting 😂😂😂

Yeah, that does sound like too much relationship drama and not enough bear on a rampage.

You put a lot of yourself into this one Mr. George. Liked it a lot.

You can see Ryan really feel his career reaching a new level after “bear-ly an inconvenience” Also do the final destination movies please…
