I usually blow out the knees fast on my bibs so decided to coat them with Flex Seal. I will be doing a 6 month and 1 year review on how they held up

Years ago we used wax. But you have to keep waxing every so often. I bet this will work better.

It looks like the top layer of the knee was the only part coated and didn’t penetrate through to the inside. I gave it 48 hours to cure so hopefully that will eliminate the off gassing

Yea they used to have a patch over the knees like what your making pretty cool old school idea

I know duluth trading co makes do double knee pants I hear they're pretty tough and they got a great warranty. I got a pair of their heavy weight fire hose pants and man are they nice and tough and functional but not constricting either, some even have pockets in the knees incase you wanna use soft knee pads inserts
