Coastin' Thru Europe Episode Three: PAULTON'S PARK
Ойын-сауық
Today’s adventure takes us to a brand new park for both of us! Paulton’s Park is a family-oriented park with some of the most incredible theming out there for a small park! Their headline attractions are Storm Chaser (no, not that one) as well as the famous Peppa Pig Land !

The trashy area around cobra is the best they could do at a time when basically the park was dormant. Back then the premier attraction was the go karts. When Peppa pig came along it totally transformed the fortunes of the park and jolted it into what it is today.
Taylor just staring into the camera while Sarah is interested in the bread maker 😂

Paultons sent out a survey a few months back asking people to pick their top 3 choices of a new themed area - pirates, space, fantasy, all that kind of stuff. I'm fairly sure that means a new themed area is in the early planning stages for the future, presumably in the Cobra area.
Sarah saying "we need more of these in the US" at 14:50 aged quite well since this was filmed haha 🤣🤣

in case you're unfamiliar, a block zone is a section of track that can only be occupied by one train at a time, otherwise it will go crash and boom and fall all the way to the ground.
In paultons defence, velociraptor came before velocicoaster 😭
They’re planning a new themed area near where Cobra is with all that space so keep your eyes peeled 😜
i love how in the intro the beat matches when sarah crashes into the wall great vlog as always
We saw you guys at the park (we were front row on Storm Chaser as you were filming!) Paultons is an amazing park for young families and the weather on that day with zero queueing was amazing! We had a great day and for me, most U.K. Parks must be envious of the Themeing, cleanliness and friendliness of all the staff. It’s a very special park especially for young families and sets standards for all other U.K. Parks to aim for.
Just hearing CTE's music makes me too happy ! Thank you so much Taylor and Sarah for these videos and for your good mood.
Paulton is the former estate name for the area, the estate burned down in the 1960's when it was a hotel, the ruins was bought and the park is on the former estate. It's my home park and it's good for it's size, it's investments keep going!
Since Sarah is fascinated by the Titanic, I totally recommend you visit the Titanic Museum in Belfast: it’s amazing and it’s got a literal dark ride inside :D

@@CoasterStudios You'll be surprised at what you can find some places. I know the Railway museum of the Netherlands has an actual dark ride inside of it with a drop track.
Been waiting for this one, was great to briefly stop and chat with you both! I can confirm even with a full indoor queue line Storm Chaser takes less than 30 minutes running both trains

Man I have to give you guys props. These videos of late are incredible. The old videos are awesome too but the level up on editing is unreal and super cool. My favorite part in this one was Taylor somehow noticing the rock work while spinning 🤙 keep the videos coming

So glad you enjoyed it!
I would love to see one of those open areas to turn into a new gen vekoma similar to Fønix. It would give them a great standout coaster that would be family-friendly. And they've worked with vekoma before aswell. Seems like the perfect fit.
You will be fine driving in the UK. Top tip, just remember the driver should be closest to the white line in the centre of the road. If the driver is kerbside (curbside) , you are on the wrong side of the road. Might come in handy if you go back to Australia, or errrrr, Japan.
Poulton’s Park is now one off the best parks in the country
The new ride in lost kingdom is actually going to be a kids log flume. Great vlog as always!

OK, much like the kids log flume at Busch Gardens Tampa
The way i would love to just travel like this with yall and experience all the coasters, themeparks people and places 😭
Another really fun vlog! I hope to visit Paultons some time soon. Also, we need to see Taylor wearing those socks while riding the Daddy Pig roller coaster.
People say they're keen to see this park expand and go on to be a bigger, more impressive park. But to me, the charm of Paultons is already fully realised. And part of that charm is that it seems to be a hidden gem of a park, without the crazy queue times and emphasis on intense rides that other parks have. The best park in the UK in my opinion - especially with family in tow. Anyway nice video guys, keep up the good work!😊 😊😊😊
If y’all do 72 more seasons of Coastin’ Thru Europe, please don’t ever change the theme music. It gets the endorphins going!
This is giving me Emerald Park vibes
I am LOVING Coastin thru Europe. I hope you come to Ireland 🇮🇪 to visit Emerald Park and ride Cu Chulainn in season 3!!! 🎉🎉🎉😂 And Sarah, you can come to Belfast to see the Titanic museum. It's gotta be done!!
Love this series guys! Paultons was my childhood park but it’s changed so much since then, great to see how they’ve improved it.
I really enjoy these coastin through Europe series 🎉
Best KZread channel ever keep up the good work
give this park 10 or so years if they keep up the level of investment and quality of tornado springs it could be insane.
Yessssss! I love this series. My cousins live 10 mins from Paultons
Cobra for a long time was the only roller coaster which actually got a bit of speed at Paultons hence the theming lack
Paultons Park was my local park growing up so I have so much park pride for it!
Seeing you two go to my home park gives me joy
Loved the prologue with scenes outside a theme park. More of that! Also, no apostrophe in Paultons.
" this is like some Orion bullsh#t" 😂
Sarah's first encounter with a bread maker. 😂
'Will you paint me like one of your French girls?' Had me. Your videos are great 😊😊
i barely even realised this was a new season. I was like why are all the thumbnails different, no its a NEW SEASON AND ITS SO GOOD
this park was a huge part of my childhood and i remember loving this park, kinda bummed that i haven't visited it since BEFORE peppa pig world was built! all the new expansions have me tempted to go back to revisit, maybe one day i'll make my way to get those new credits :p
Was great to meet you while you were there hope you enjoyed the park
Flight of the pterosaur is my favourite vekoma coaster. Storm chaser is my favourite mack coaster and cat-o-pillar is my favourite zierer coaster.
I agree that the cobra area needs an uplift it is an older section of the park as there is so much room for something like a Vekoma Hyper, Mack Mega Coaster or even a Water Coaster.
Been going to Paultons Park for over 30 years on and off. From when it used to be to be a country park before it became more of a theme park. Cat o pillar is one of the oldest rides in the park.
Went to Paultons Park recently and i was not prepared for how nice that park was
My local park ❤ great vlog
I visited this place in early June. It was much livelier then! Still, the lines for the coasters were mild, while Peppa land was absolutely bustling. Very nice park, I'm rooting for this place to go on to bigger and better things. I wonder if a proper thrill coaster is on the horizon for Paultons. I'd love a Formula-sized Vekoma looper or an Infinity coaster, even a Eurofigter would do wonders for them (though the UK is not short on Eurofighters). I know the UK parks' bread is mostly buttered in the family market and Peppa is the biggest draw here, but surely one biggie would do no harm?
I’ve been waiting for this ❤😂❤😂
Velociraptor is part of the Rebound model, a pretty standard layout of Family Boomerangs that has the spike in the opposite direction of the lifthill, Boomerang at Energylandia (the old pink one) is also a Rebound.
Absolutely love Paultons Park great coasters, great atmosphere and if I remember rightly on the meet up at Alton Towers you said that Paultons Park had been your favourite park so far does that still hold true for you.
Great video! Very good family park! Nice Titanic museum! I liked it when you saw the Titanic necklace you went this is a questionable item.
Storm Chaser is a great ride, for a family coaster it has some serious forces on the helix. With the area around Cobra the park got in to trouble with it some years back regarding planning permission in that corner of the park and there was even a real risk that they'd have to tear it down. But it all got sorted and that's the area that will be getting rethemed soon and should get something really nice as a new addition to it. It's very possible that they might be getting either a new log flume to replace the existing Reverchon travelling model they currently have or maybe even a water coaster (as well as the kiddie water ride coming to Lost Kingdom in 2024).
Omg those socks are amazing
So for reference, Velociraptor is a standard layout. And the gate by the Cobra bush is normally open and loops back around towards the log flume. I'm guessing they're gonna use it as a storage area for the new ride being built, it's basically just a picnic field in there.
"This is some Orion bullcrap, its like close enough!" haha!
Gotta love London Central station
Wow, thank you Number One Daddy, this was so funn! :D
Haven't been here since was a kid, when they only had one kiddie powered coaster, think called Runnaway Mine Train.
The Cobra station is one of the oldest standing stations remaining in the park, which is why it is not theme. It was installed back when the back was much smaller and had very little themeing. The park was unrecognisable. Its so strange to see it now
5:06 Saved for the Coaster Studios Out of Context compilation: "LOOK AT THIS CHICKEEEEN!!!"
Wildlands in Emmen, the Netherlands, also has a dueling boomerang coaster and a Mack boat ride!
sarah: "i say we share a big ol' hot dog :D" taylor: "no."
Paulton's is an amazing place, and I'm lucky it's my home park.
It’s funny that on the family boomerang the lift was faster than most of the drop
Something to keep in mind is that European parks usually don't have the massive budgets US-parks do, so they can't just go and make a whole new land, buy a few coasters, etc all at once. Plus sometimes there's laws on what they can and can't have regarding noise, height, or even just emergency access.
Velociraptor was the original “rebound” family boomerang
To answer your question at 15:00. It’s not a custom layout. It’s the 208m, the same as Boomerang at Energylandia (but sadly without the station flythrough)
The vekoma boomerang reminded me of the Layout of Raik at phantasialand
I haven't been to paultons for years. They had just opened the new area with the flight of the pterosaur and velociraptor Anyway, Cat-o-pillar or however it's written is clearly an old ladybug coaster updated. I used to love the one at Margate Dreamland (Bembom brothers)
You need to visit Ireland next year as emerald park is open a new area. Also Ireland is the home of the Titanic.
Lol yep trains are a joke in the UK. We do the maths for every long journey and it's always been cheaper for a couple to drive, even accounting for depreciation etc.
oh my god number one daddy finally uploaded !!
Paultons Park is planning on building a new coaster in the field next to Cobra and it will probably be a water coaster and then they will probably theme Cobra into that area.
20:25 I am almost certain that this flat ride used to be in Southend's Adventure Island for many years (underneath where the "Green Scream" coaster stands). You ought to both come out this way! I've never been to Paulton's but from your video it reminds me of some scenario from RCT: "Increase the park value to £xxxxx by year 4"
Lets goo so love this series. Uk trains are a joke they are all run by private companies who just hike ticket prices and hold the uk to ransom knowing half of us who work have to use the train. Never been to paultons park but i like how it looks. Might try it one day if im down that way. Not paying for the train just to get there.

I just realised I own the same bread maker as Harry ...haha! Except I always do a quick loaf...3 hours.
The Standard of which Paultons park are setting is second to none at the moment and some of my favourite rides are Velociraptor Flight of the Pterasaur Temple Heights Bolder Dash Magma Cobra Edge Wave Swinger Cyclonator Storm Chasers

This video was filmed before we knew a family boomerang was coming to Holiday World
Fun fact: Dino Chase used to be called Flying Frog
You were so lucky usually the queues are quite long
My home park :)
You came to my home town. btw I find the train fare to London from Southampton way overpriced. My dad actually works in the Sea City Museum. I'll have to go to Paultons Park again at some point. Not been since I was a kid.
omg last time i went to paulton's park the station for cobra was overflowing
10:15 That "no" was personal
Did you ride Cyclonator? Probably the best flat in the country! Runs a decent cycle too. Paultons is really on the up and it's not inconceivable that they'll add a decently large coaster in the future, no doubt you'll be back at some point

I was looking for their ride of this too...quite disappointed it doesn't seem to be in the video. Awesome ride and easily the most intense one at the park...
11:20 they're Dandelions Taylor!!😛
Number one daddy 😂😂😂😂
Didn’t even know this park existed and I live in the uk too.
In my opinion the area where Cobra & Edge are could be a Studio Ghibli themed area, as part of the new expansion with the watercoaster. Also, I think a new S&S 4D Freespin could do the area good, I mean if Chessington got Mandrill Mayhem then anything is possible
The water ride is confirmed to be a family log flume (Simaler to Thomas and Percy's submarine splash)
Everything you said about this park i was like: "just wait till u see Nigloland"
As someone who lives an hour away from the park, as has visited 4 times in the last 5 years, I want to point some things out. Firstly, regarding the area around Cobra & Edge, the park is allegedly planning to do something with it. They recently filed (and got approval) for permission to develop on that specific area, following up from getting approval to use the land behind Cobra & Edge (not the land to the west as you might believe). Believe it or not, when Cobra & Edge were first built (in 2006 & 2009 respectively) they actually got in trouble (and nearly had to tear them down) for the fact that they were built without proper planning permission, as the land they occupy isn't designated theme park land. That was all sorted out back then, and now obviously with this filing being approved, we should see that area redeveloped in the coming years. Also, that new water ride in Lost Kingdom was recently announced to be a mini-flume, called Splash Lagoon, replacing a ride called Temple Heights that used to occupy that spot. Just thought that would be worth pointing out.
UK parks have been extremely quiet this year, a combination of bad weather, the cost of living crisis (meaning people are not spending om luxuries) and there being a number of other events (the ashes, the world cup, festivals, etc), it's a shame
Sarah is hilarious 😂
0:17 that's funny that's my local train station 🤣🤣🤣 never expected it to end up on youtube horley is normally quite a boring little town not gonna lie! Also velociraptor came before velocicoaster!
Pretty sure the Poultons coaster predates the Universal one by some way 😂 though I *think* you were joking.
One thing I’ve noticed about your reactions to the parks: you Americans come to the UK and are impressed by the theming but find the rides lacklustre. However us UK enthusiasts have it the other way round, we like the rides at USA theme parks but the theming looks lacklustre to us!
Is anyone old enough to also be getting Marge Simpson vibes when Taylor talks about the license plates on the wall of the restaurant? "An alligator wearing sunglasses - now I've seen everything! License plates, indoors - so silly!!"
This park has a lot of medium size coasters.
They will update the back I’m sure of it, the best areas of the park have only come since props pig world really and will only expand as time goes on
