Maaaaaan I try to tell these youngsters today that Nebraska was the Bama and the Georgia of the early and mid 90s. I grew up a huge Texas fan but loved watching Tommy Frazier and that defense play.

Nebraska was -17 turnover margin last year with a top10 defense. They return 18/21 starters. 5* QB with Neyor and Banks at Wide outs and a consistent rush game...cmon y'all need better research.

I was born in Lincoln and currently live in Omaha and JB is talking facts about the Nebraska/LA connection

Nebraska is a sleeping Giant. I drove my daughter up there to tour the school when she was looking at College. She picked Nebraska as her school because the football atmosphere was insanely fun. We walked through the facilities and they were Better than Texas.

Lawrence Phillips, Abdul Muhammad, Derek Brown, Mike Petko, Riley Washington, Thunder Collins, Brendan Stai, Sheldon Jackson were all from SoCal and most were from LA

Beating Colorado means nothing, they are garbage. But as an Oregon Duck fan it would be awesome to see Nebraska come back and be a top team in the country. You guys got the right coach for the job that’s for sure.

In the new NIL era, this is where Nebraska becomes relevant again. This place started programs asap to gain finances for all the players. The only way to compete in Nov-Jan are the teams with depth. If everyone is getting something, it goes a long way. And Nebraska, alums, fans, will love donating to the cause.

I believe Nebraska is a play off team next year. Ruhle knows what he is doing and has way more resources than he ever did at Temple and Baylor combined. There is no place like Nebraska. The best fans in the country and so many outside Nebraska!!! The sellout is proof of their loyalty to the football team. Think about how many underclass men he has. They will beat the brakes out of Colorado don't forget they sacked the clown 8 times!!! You’re only as loyal as your opinions- C. Rock Michigan has to compete with Michigan State and all the pro teams of Detroit for attendance and popularity. USC to UCLA, same thing. The true test is how close/ far away your program is compared to another D1 &/or a pro sports team. It’s complicated and soft.

Well, with the shit schedule, if they can beat Colorado, they probably will be in convo with a strong start, but they aren't some top 12 program yet. I mean, come on, Matt. Go beat a ranked team. 0 and 11 at Baylor and 0 and 3 at Nebraska versus ranked teams.

Nebraska was 5-7 last year. 5 of them was 1 loss games with no QB. You add a play maker at that position with that top 15 defense. 10 wins maybe 11 wins

And honestly the Colorado game wasn't as bad as the score indicated. The defense just got too tired since none of the qbs that game could hold on to the ball or get sustained drives.

This such a bad take. It’s Nebraska not North Korea. They have internet. Plus Kansas City is like s 2 hour drive from Omaha which by itself is a big city with plenty of shit to do. Another point is there’s not 1 city in the country where Ive been outta town during football season and there’s wasn’t a Nebraska alumni club sponsored watch party where I could watch a Nebraska game at sports bar packed full of other Nebraska fans. The only other fanbases I’ve seen that rival Nebraska in that aspect are Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Nothing to do in Nebraksa? Ok come to Omaha. Zoo? We got the world's best. practically need 2 days to see it all and explore it. Musuems? We got em. fishing or camping at a state park? Ok. Hey how about we go catch an opera or a concert....

I always wonder what people mean when they say "there's nothing to do". Everywhere I've been has more or less the same amount of options with the exception of some specific tourist stuff that you wouldn't do often if you lived there. I grew up in a town of 2,000 people and even there we always had something to do.

I’ll be the first to admit as a life long Nebraska fan that we don’t have shit to brag about. I really don’t fault anyone for being skeptical( except Iowa and Colorado fans both y’all can choke on a bag of 🍆). But this Raiola kid is the truth. Grew up with Matthew Stafford at the bbq. Pops played 14 years in the league. His offseason coach is Bobby Stroupe. So he’s training with Mahomes in the offseason. Literally everyone in the country recruited him. He chose Nebraska cause his dad’s jersey is retired there. Just seems like it was meant to be. I know they still gotta play the games but look at Nebraska last year. What was the biggest issue in their 5 1 score losses? Absolute dog 💩 QB play. So Raiola doesn’t really need to be Johnny Manziel for Nebraska to win a lot of games next season.

False. The seats are always full. This Nonsense started being said because there are buisness owners who will buy tickets to give to employees or clients as benefits. Some of them are normal tickets,some even buy season ticket packages to do it with, but they are ususally the tickets that the visiting team sends back if they don't sell them. And that's not to "keep the sell out streak." It's because the tickets are in demand. The tickets are still being paid for and there is still someone in that seat during the game. (Or at least in the stadium hanging out behind the seats in the concourse during a break because it's extremely hot, extremely cold or extremely raining. 😂) People always insinuate someone is buying a bunch of empty seats or something stupid like that. Those people have clearly never seen a Nebraska game.

Boosters do buy the tickets, but they give them away. There will never be an empty seat in that stadium.
