I come back to this video yearly. There’s just so much knowledge in this 9 minute video 🤩
One of the greatest minds in Coaching and Olympic weightlifting, he is a huge benefit to all who are around him.
Burgener videos are gold worth, more pls!!
Coach B, you're a sensei to us over here! Thank you for the video on the drills.
Amazing video! Thank you so much to CF HQ and Mike Burgener for creating this. Much gratitude.
Another great from Coach.
I needed the feet and base demonstrations! Thanks!
Thanks Coach !
Thanks Mike!
Thank you for this video!
very nice explains ^^ thank you^^
This is a little different than the explanation video given out of his garage 7 years ago. This is ok but I like the video with Page. With the slow motion out takes I think you can better see what he describes. In any event this is a good warm-up.

I still have those old video's in mike's garage.
Russian school (klokov and Toroktiy) teaches the finish straight, and disagree about that "swing" before the turnover...
does anyone know what Coach says as far as weight distribution? some people advocate weight slightly forward, more midfoot, or heels. I just wanted to know
Dude is a beating to listen to!
Because this will fix a weak back or weak legs?
the guys from california strength bump the bar at the hips, and it seems to work well for them ?

If you get a chance, Diane Fu discusses the difference between "brushing" the bar past the hips and "banging" the bar on the hips. Like everything else, which one a person does depends upon a lot of other things.

pierrot monami Have you ever seen there girls totals go up? Look at there training over the last 2 years not one of them has any real PR of mention. There few "top" lifters are great but 85% of the lifters their makes very little progress with getting bigger totals.

Muscle snatch 5:05
When your school weight training coach used to own a crossfit gym and now co-teaches highschool wrestling and weight training and you actually have to research to memorize movements like the Burgener warm-up
Down a d finish 2:35

+Fil W I'm guessing he is near 60ish where the use of growth hormone or test would be beneficial to his wellbeing since his natural production would have significantly decreased.
Coach Burgener teaches you how NOT to snatch.

while he may have been its a case of practicing what you preach. He may a wealth of knowledge without actually being able to do it himself now. he clearly knows what he is talking about. perfect examples are cardiologists who are fat and out of shape. they usually clearly know what they are talking about and how to treat but they do not practice it themselves

If you look on the CF Weightlifting website, you'll find that he was a Notre Dame football player and a Captain in the Marine Corps.

Mike won a national championship at Notre Dame playing football under one of the greatest coaches of all time, Ara Parseghian. He also was on the lifting team training under the great Bernard Lange.

What does it say about a person when they use more key strokes to ask a (super condescending) question on KZread than it would've taken to just Google it in the first place?
I can honestly say I found it technically weak and somewhat patronising. CrossFit deserves better.
This guy is a joke
