Girl, you have so much hair that even when it’s soaking wet it doesn’t go flat. I don’t know why I am just noticing that but you wasn’t playing when you said your hair was thick.

I thought I was the only one who's front pieces of hair don't define no matter how much I try to define it and hydrate it! And here I was thinking it had something to do with probable heat damage! Woah!

My first thought that came up was this reminds me of Anthony dickey bc I've seen him recommend daily co-washing as well. Lou is funny though

This is crazy because I always washed my hair a lot even when I was getting a perm and my hair still grew long. I just didn’t have my ends clipped regularly as I should have. When washed daily I would condition it more than shampoo or a I’d put a lil shampoo in the conditioner. And I need to start using more hair grease. I stopped because my wrap be in the wind 💨 when you use oil sheen. But it wasn’t dry because of all the conditioning 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I loved the video

So interesting. I’m inspired to try it, but at the same time I’m not enamored with the idea of perpetually wet hair 🤔. Thank you for sharing!😘

I tried this for 3 days. My hair very define at the root, but it got tangly at the ends and even matted in 2 areas on day 3. I do need a trim so I will try again once I have a trim.

Yea having flashbacks of my Maximum hydration saga. I follow Lou on IG and she is hilarious. There are so many ways to do this natural game. Something about having wet hair constantly doesn't fit with my current lifestyle. Thank's for sharing.

I wasn’t really tracking it/it didn’t stand out to me. shedding is totally natural so you’re going to shed what you shed no matter what.

I accidentally did a form of this challenge this week lol. I’ve been too lazy to find a shower cap before I shower every morning so I’ve been getting my hair (it’s typically in cornrows) wet almost every day. Around day 3, I started to get nervous bc I never exposed my hair to this much water in such a short period of time. I figured if I threw some leave in conditioner afterwards I’d be alright. I continued this pattern for a couple more days but then yesterday as I went to go refresh my cornrows I noticed my hair was so defined and soft! I’m like what how?! This video explains a lot lol thanks! Nowadays do you still wet your hair consistently? I care more about the thickness and length of my hair than a defined curl patter right now, would you suggest I continue this?

I wet my hair once a week on washday. However, we seem to have different goals. I prefer my hair to be defined and set. Also, constantly wet hair can lead to hygral fatigue. My hair is too thick/long to fully dry down between frequent wetting.

  • @Gladiator_in_a_Suit

Anthony Dickey mentions that naturally dry hair can never have too much moisture. Hygral fatigue is a myth to our hair texture, if our hair feels like mashed potatoes it’s because our hair needs protein. We have to balance protein and moisture interchangeably, I wet my hair all the time because I sweat a lot; once every 3 weeks I co wash, but prior to co wash day I do a water only rinse to get the sweat and excess oils off, make sure you gently squeeze the water out of the hair using a soft micro fiber towel so that your hair has time to completely dry. 😊 I never use heat.

@@WhatTheKink I keep hearing that, though curiosity really have me wanting to risk it all😅. I absolutely love the conditioner that goes with it. One of the best I've ever used. But maybe I need to go ahead and stick to Curl Fresh and KC Come Clean😅. I've been meaning to ask you if you've ever tried theirs or any of the Innersense products? Now I see that I have to go search through your channel lol.
