Yeah this was the first wave of Russians that took the airport and they were completely wiped out by ukraine special forces waiting for them there, Russia’s second wave took the airport back after though but it was too late by then

I don't know what people expected to happen Russia could not allow Ukraine to join with NATO an organization that was made to fight against Russia. I doubt any of this would have happened if NATO didn't try to make Ukraine join them Russia had to respond they could not allow another border state to fourm an alliance with NATO. Do you believe we in the US would allow Mexico to join with Russia the answer of course is no, we have seen what happened during the Cuban missile crisis and Cuba is not even on our border. Russia had to take over Ukraine for their national security they could not allow the enemy to be at their gate. The news is not telling the full story instead they are putting out their propaganda making this out to be the fault of the Russians. Russia could not allow themselves to be surrounded on all sides this unfortunately had to happen. Here's a lesson if you are a small nation next to a super power it is not a wise move to negotiate with their biggest enemy for an alliance because that will lead to war.
